Montpellier capped a fine week with an impressive 3-1 Ligue 1 win over Nice on Saturday night.
Having been in the midst of a relegation scrap a week ago, Rolland Courbis' men have since beaten Sochaux in the league, Paris St Germain in the cup and now in-form Nice.
M'baye Niang and Hilton had put them 2-0 up before Nice eventually stirred through substitute Alexy Bosetti, but Souleymane Camara wrapped things up late on.
It was a thoroughly deserved win for the home side who were clearly riding the crest of a wave caused by their victory over PSG.
Good play from reported Newcastle target Remy Cabella set them up for an early chance but Anthony Mounuier was denied, before goalkeeper David Ospina kept out Cabella himself.
The excellent Cabella then found Niang only for the keeper to again excel, before the same combination had a hand in the opener with 31 minutes gone.
Cabella's ball freed Mounier and, as he looked up, he had Niang waiting and he did the rest.
It had been a half of pure Montpellier domination and they improved their margin eight minutes into the second half when a Mounier corner was flicked into the path of Hilton who made up some ground to tap in.
Nice finally stirred after that and a Hilton mistake let them back in, with his poor control allowing Bosetti to pick his pocket and race clear before slotting in.
It was the first thing Nice had done all night but it mattered little as Montpellier returned to the front foot and wrapped things up with nine minutes left.
Camara was the scorer, cashing in after Victor Hugo Montano charged down field and had a shot blocked, with Camara picking up the pieces.
