Gaetan Charbonnier helped Reims claim victory
Reims ran riot in the second half of their Ligue 1 clash against Ajaccio as they fired in four goals in an 18-minute spell to record a 4-1 victory at Stade Auguste Delaune.
Gaetan Charbonnier netted a quick-fire brace before Eliran Atar and Floyd Ayite scored either side of Eduardo's consolation as Hubert Fournier's side moved up two places to seventh in the table.
But for Christian Bracconi's side the defeat saw them drop down to the bottom of the table after collecting just three points from their last 12 league matches.
The home side started well and could have take the lead in the opening 10 minutes as Anthony Weber set up Antoine Devaux, who fired in a good effort from 25 yards out before Guillermo Ochoa made a clean save.
The ball was down at the other end of the pitch minutes later as Benjamin Andre came close to scoring after collecting Johan Cavalli's corner ball and controlled it well, but shot just over the bar.
And Reims came out for the second half fired up and almost went ahead three minutes in but Ochoa made an excellent reflex save to hold out Ayite's free-kick just outside the penalty area.
But the home side finally broke the deadlock on the hour mark as Aissa Mandi headed on Ayite's free-kick and Charbonnier made no mistake with his close-range volley.
Ayite also helped set up Reims' second goal three minutes later as his corner found the unmarked Charbonnier at the far post, who provided a superb finish.
Charbonnier became provider less than 10 minutes later as he picked out Atar with his precision pass inside the penalty area and the Israel international slotted home past Ochoa.
Seconds late Ajaccio struck back after Eduardo picked up the ball from Cavalli's corner and headed past Reims goalkeeper Kossi Agassa.
But the home side were not finished yet and Atar freed Devaux in the middle, who passed a perfect ball toward Ayite into the penalty box and volleyed home their fourth.
