Modou Sougou celebrates his goal for Evian
Paris St Germain's 26-game unbeaten run in the league was brought to a halt as they were stunned 2-0 at Evian.
Laurent Blanc's side lost for the first time in any competition this season after late goals from Clarck N'Sikulu and Modou Sougou.
PSG wasted several chances to go ahead and defeat leaves them just a point ahead of Lille in the table.
Marco Verratti fizzed an early shot wide after Zlatan Ibrahimovic teed him up but PSG were not the dominant force they might have expected to be against an Evian side who had failed to score, and conceded six goals, in back-to-back defeats before the visit of the champions.
Daniel Wass narrowly failed to convert after some sloppy PSG defending on the half hour.
PSG's stars were off colour though as Ibrahimovic headed wide after Christophe Jallet surged down the right, while Edinson Cavani was having one of those nights until his clever run and pass in first-half injury-time presented Jeremy Menez with a chance he somehow conspired to miss.
Jesper Hansen got down low to keep out Lucas Moura shortly after half-time but that was about as good as it got for PSG as they started to creak under home pressure.
Salvatore Sirigu made an awkward block from Youssouf Sabady before Evian took their shock lead on 75 minutes.
It came from a poor PSG corner after which Javier Pastore lost the ball to Oliver Sorlin, who set off a swift counter-attack. Sougou was left with the space in the area and after nut-megging Marquinhos his deflected effort fell for N'Sikulu to score.
PSG's best chance of an equaliser was spurned by Pastore as he headed weakly to allow Hansen to collect after an Ibrahimovic cross.
Evian then confirmed a memorable win following another counter-attack four minutes from the end. Sougou combined with Wass before again beating Marquinhos in the area and this time finishing off his own good work.
