Andy Sandell: Out with a shoulder injury

Team news for Saturday's League Two clash between Newport County and Rochdale at Rodney Parade.

Newport will be without defender Andy Sandell when they take on Rochdale.

The 30-year-old damaged shoulder ligaments in the first half of Saturday's 1-0 loss at York which will keep him out of the final match of their Sky Bet League Two campaign.

Aaron O'Connor is hoping to rekindle the strike partnership with Christian Jolley that helped shoot the Exiles out of the Conference last season. O'Connor has been restricted to just cameo appearances since recovering from a groin injury and is edging closer to his first start of the campaign.

In defence Wales international Darcy Blake looks set to start what could be his final game for the club with his short-term contract set to expire in the summer.

Rochdale will look to clinch the League Two title at Newport without leading goalscorer Scott Hogan.

The 19-goal striker remains sidelined after missing the last two games due to an ankle injury. Dale will finish top with victory if Chesterfield fail to beat Fleetwood.

Boss Keith Hill has no new injury or suspension concerns, with midfielder Peter Vincenti resuming in the starting line-up in last week's win against Cheltenham after being forced off with concussion at Bristol Rovers on Easter Monday.

Strikers Joe Bunney and George Cummins, plus midfielder Peter Cavanagh are among those pushing for recalls as Dale bid to finish the season out with a third straight win.
