Plymouth suffered their third successive defeat and fifth loss in six League Two games following a 2-1 reverse against AFC Wimbledon.

Neal Ardley's side bounced back from going 1-0 down to Conor Hourinhane's stunner when Kwesi Appiah brushed aside Plymouth central defender Paul Wotton to tee up fellow striker Jack Midson to restore parity in the 42nd minute. Appiah then raced away to beat the offside trap and slot home past goalkeeper Jake Cole on a lightning counter-attack to put Wimbledon ahead after latching on to left-back Tom Richards' pass down the wing. Plymouth skipper Hourihane had broken the deadlock from 25 yards with a measured curling drive into the top corner out of the reach of diving keeper Ross Worner on six minutes. Even then the goal was against the run of play as Cole was forced to flap over Midson's central goal-bound header after just 90 seconds. Appiah sent a warning shot just wide and also nodded down skipper Barry Fuller's far post cross from the right for George Francomb to volley over in the first half.
