Tom Nichols: Hoping for a start

Tom Nichols: Hoping for a start

Team news for Easter Monday's League Two clash between Exeter and Torquay at St James Park.

Exeter could recall Tom Nichols to their starting line-up when they host the Gulls.

The 20-year-old had to settle for a 22-minute substitute appearance in Friday's 1-1 draw at Chesterfield having started City's last nine matches and the youth product will hope to be recalled in place of John O'Flynn.

Christy Pym looks set to continue in goal instead of Artur Krysiak while manager Paul Tisdale has a number of options should he decide to shuffle his pack with David Wheeler, Jimmy Keohane and Matt Gill pushing to start.

The Grecians have won every Devon derby this season and will look to extend that run to four games at St James Park.

Torquay will be without Shamir Goodwin when they make the short trip to the Grecians.

The winger suffered a thigh muscle injury in training which saw him miss Friday's 1-0 defeat to Dagenham and he looks unlikely to feature again this season for the Gulls, who could be relegated at the home of their local rivals.

Chris Hargreaves' men, eight points from safety, know anything but a win at St James Park will see them drop out of the Football League and even three points may not be enough if other results go against them.

Winger Billy Bodin, the Gulls' best performer in their home defeat to the Grecians back in December, looks set to keep his place in Goodwin's absence but Jayden Stockley serves the final game of his three-match ban for a red card against Scunthorpe.
