Jason Taylor: Pushing for a recall

Jason Taylor: Pushing for a recall

Team news for Saturday's League Two clash between Cheltenham Town and Bury at Whaddon Road.

Cheltenham boss Mark Yates looks set to shuffle his pack when they host Bury.

The Robins named an unchanged XI as they were thumped 4-1 by Chesterfield on Tuesday evening and Yates looks likely to recall a number of players as they look to bounce back.

Midfielder Jason Taylor, striker Jamie Cureton and right-back Sido Jombati are all pushing for recalls as the Robins look to extend the seven-point gap between themselves and the League Two relegation zone.

Byron Harrison scored their consolation in midweek and the striker will hope to have done enough to retain his place in the side.

Bury's on-loan forward Jean-Louis Akpa Akpro is missing for his side's trip to Cheltenham.

The striker, borrowed from Tranmere, has pulled a hamstring muscle and faces a couple of weeks on the sidelines, according to Shakers boss David Flitcroft.

A similar ailment is keeping out Ashley Grimes while Navid Nasseri, another young forward, has a thigh strain and missed the trip to Mansfield on Tuesday night.

The line-up which Flitcroft deployed against the Stags could be the one he sticks with here after he was effusive in his praise of the 4-1 thrashing.
