Eoin Doyle: Set to continue up top

Paul Cook has the luxury of a fully-fit squad to choose from as Chesterfield welcome Torquay to the Proact Stadium on Saturday.

Paul Cook has the luxury of a fully-fit squad to choose from as Chesterfield welcome Torquay to the Proact Stadium on Saturday.

After a heavy fixture schedule in recent times, Cook gave his players some much-needed time off this week in preparation for the visit of Chris Hargreaves' side.

Ollie Banks was suffering from illness during the 1-1 draw at Scunthorpe last weekend, a result which extended the Spireites' unbeaten run to six matches in all competitions, but has now fully recovered.

Eoin Doyle netted his third goal, a first-half penalty, in as many league games against the Iron and is likely to continue to start up front.

Torquay boss Chris Hargreaves could be set to ring the changes when his side travel to high-flying Chesterfield.

The Gulls were beaten 2-1 at home by rock-bottom Northampton on Tuesday night in Hargreaves' first home match in charge and he could shuffle his pack as they look to bounce back with Jordan Chapell, Karl Hawley and Tom Cruise all hoping come into contention for the long trip.

Welsh winger Billy Bodin will be assessed before kick-off having been withdrawn after just 21 minutes on Tuesday with an injury he picked up in the build-up to the Cobblers' winning goal.

Joss Labadie is set to start in midfield once more despite being just one yellow card away from a two-match suspension, having been booked nine times while playing for Notts County and then Torquay this season.
