Sam Clucas: Has an ankle problem

Team news for Saturday's League Two clash between Mansfield Town and Accrington Stanley at the One Call Stadium.

Mansfield face mounting problems ahead of Accrington's visit to the One Call Stadium following injuries to Sam Clucas and Ben Hutchinson.

Both players had to go off during the 4-1 FA Cup second-round replay defeat by Oldham on Tuesday night with 11-goal leading scorer Clucas (ankle) expected to be out for around two months and fellow midfielder Hutchinson (hamstring) looking at up to six weeks on the sidelines.

The Stags will be further depleted against Stanley as centre-half John Dempster begins a two-match suspension after his red card in midweek.

Midfielder Lee Stevenson (calf) and defender Ritchie Sutton (thigh) played for the reserves on Wednesday and could come back into the reckoning. Chris Clements, who has recently returned from injury, got another hour of fitness under his belt in that game while Ryan Tafazolli and John McCombe also impressed.

Accrington boss James Beattie could be without experienced striker Danny Webber for the trip to Mansfield.

The former Watford forward is struggling with illness and is rated as doubtful ahead of the clash.

Defender Rob Atkinson, who has been on the sidelines since October with a hamstring injury, comes into the reckoning.

Young goalkeeper Andrew Dawber is back in training following a groin operation but is unlikely to be ready for a return to action at this stage.
