Scott Doe: Back in contention

Team news for Saturday's League Two clash between Dagenham & Redbridge and Torquay United at Victoria Road.

Dagenham welcome back Scott Doe and Medy Elito for the visit of bottom club Torquay.

Defender Doe missed last Saturday's late 2-1 defeat at leaders Oxford as he served a one-match suspension.

Winger Elito, meanwhile, was ruled out due to a thigh injury but has trained this week and should be available to face the Gulls.

Matt Saunders, an unused substitute at the Kassam Stadium, has turned his ankle and is ruled out while midfielder Billy Bingham (knee) has started light running again but the game comes too soon in his recovery.

Torquay are set to keep the faith with Michael Poke in goal when they travel to Dagenham.

Manager Alan Knill described the decision to replace Martin Rice with the former Southampton goalkeeper, fit again after a thigh muscle injury, as one of the toughest decisions he has ever made and he looks set to stick with Poke for the away trip.

Bournemouth loanee Jayden Stockley is back at his parent club after a training ground calf injury but Billy Bodin could start again having come through his return from a cartilage problem against Southend unscathed.

The Gulls head into the match without an assistant manager after Chris Brass joined Bury earlier this week.
