Image: Sam Morsy: Faces lengthy spell on the sidelines

Team news for Saturday's League Two clash between Chesterfield and Scunthorpe at the Proact Stadium.

The Spireites will be without Sam Morsy for the visit of the Iron while fellow midfielders Tendayi Darikwa and Ollie Banks are doubts. Morsy will be out for at least four to six weeks after damaging knee ligaments during the goalless draw at Bristol Rovers last weekend. Darikwa and Banks have been struggling this week with illness. Club captain Ian Evatt was replaced late on at the Memorial Stadium but it was merely a precautionary measure and the centre-half has since trained. Eoin Doyle will miss out against the Iron, though, as he serves a one-match suspension for his late red card in Bristol. Meanwhile, full-backs Drew Talbot (groin) and Nathan Smith (ankle) are closing in on a return to first-team action and on-loan Sheffield United striker Chris Porter will return to his parent club after Saturday's game. Scunthorpe, meanwhile, could be without defender Niall Canavan and midfield pair Matt Sparrow and David Syers at Chesterfield. Centre-back Canavan twisted his ankle in the midweek defeat at York, while Sparrow (hamstring) and Syers (ankle) were also forced out of the game. All three players remain doubtful. Cliff Byrne could fill in at centre-half, while Etienne Esajas and teenager Hakeeb Adelakun could come into contention for starts. Strikers Jimmy Spencer and Chris Iwelumo, plus winger Terry Hawkridge are also among those pushing for recalls. Manager Brian Laws could be tempted to make changes as his side chase a first league win in six matches.
