Dean Parrett: Still sidelined

Dean Parrett: Still sidelined

Team news for Saturday's League One clash between Stevenage and Walsall at Broadhall Way.

Relegated Stevenage are set to be without seven first-team players when they host Walsall.

Skipper Jon Ashton and fellow defender Bira Dembele are struggling with ankle injuries while midfielders Roarie Deacon (ankle) and Dean Parrett (knee) remain sidelined.

Strikers Darius Charles (ankle) and Francois Zoko (groin) are also injured and winger Filipe Morais is suspended so boss Graham Westley will have to turn to youngsters Joseph N'Guessan, Fejiri Okenabirhie and Rohdell Gordon.

Forward Okenabirhie and winger Gordon both made their debuts in the 3-1 defeat by Bristol City on Easter Monday which condemned Boro to the drop.

Walsall manager Dean Smith should have no fresh concerns against already-relegated Stevenage.

Left-back Andy Taylor will be hoping for a recall after being left out of the starting XI for Monday's 1-1 draw with Gillingham following a loss in form, his boss confirmed.

Milan Lalkovic came through a full 90 minutes unscathed against the Gills on his return from a hamstring injury and should continue in attack for the Saddlers.

Youngster Amadou Bagayoko continues to wait patiently for his debut having made four appearances from the bench and, with only a top-10 finish to play for, Smith could opt for changes with top scorer Craig Westcarr's future still in the balance.
