Gillingham v Rotherham preview

Image: Danny Kedwell: Suffered a setback

Team news for Saturday's League One clash between Gillingham and Rotherham United at Priestfield Stadium.

Gillingham have received a blow ahead of their clash with Rotherham after Danny Kedwell was ruled out for another two weeks. The striker has been sidelined since January through a combination of hernia and knee problems and is now not expected back until Easter weekend. Defender Ryan Inniss (hamstring) returned as an unused substitute against MK Dons last time out and is in contention to start but the game is set to come too soon for midfielder Chris Whelpdale (ankle). Peter Taylor's side are eight points clear of the relegation zone and will have their sights set on a top-half finish. Rotherham manager Steve Evans will pick from an unchanged squad for the trip to Gillingham. The Millers extended their unbeaten run to 15 games with a 2-1 win over Bristol City last week and boss Evans is expected to keep faith. Striker Wes Thomas is fully recovered from a thigh injury but he has struggled to get in Evans' matchday 18 in recent weeks and again faces a fight to be involved. The Millers, who are only missing Mark Bradley with a season-ending knee injury, have not won at the Gills since 1988, a hoodoo they will have to end if they are to gatecrash the top two in League One.
