Anthony Grant: Back from suspension

Team news for Saturday's League One clash between Crewe Alexandra and Coventry City at Alexandra Stadium.

Midfielder Anthony Grant will be back in Crewe's squad as they entertain Coventry at Gresty Road.

Grant served a one-game suspension in midweek and his absence was felt as the Alex slipped to a 3-1 loss at home to Notts County.

He could now earn his place back in the line-up instead of club captain Abdul Osman and given how disappointing the defeat to the Magpies was, boss Steve Davis could consider further changes even if he has no new injury concerns.

Long-term absentees Ryan Colclough (stomach) and Max Clayton (ankle) are nearing returns but are still a little way off while defender Harry Davis (knee) will not return until pre-season.

Coventry will be without suspended midfielder John Fleck when they travel to Crewe.

Fleck picked up his 10th yellow card of the season in Wednesday's 1-0 victory over Stevenage and starts a two-match ban, with new loan signing David Prutton his likely replacement.

On-loan Blackpool striker Nathan Eccleston could appear from the start for the first time having made his debut as a substitute in that game.

However, the Liverpool youth product will have to be content with a place on the bench once more if Sky Blues boss Steven Pressley chooses to go with the same team, Fleck aside, that ended a four-match winless run.
