Image: Sam Saunders: Out for a spell

Team news for Saturday's League One clash between Brentford and Wolverhampton Wanderers at Griffin Park.

Brentford continue to be without influential winger Sam Saunders ahead of their eagerly-anticipated encounter at home to promotion rivals Wolves. Saunders, who has missed the Bees' last five matches, underwent exploratory knee surgery this week in a bid to resolve an injury which has affected him for the past two months - ensuring he now faces an extended spell on the sidelines. Midfielder Toumani Diagouraga, who last featured on New Year's Day, has joined Portsmouth on a month-long loan deal and is therefore unavailable. Adam Forshaw will hope to keep hold of his starting place having replaced Nico Yennaris for last weekend's 3-1 victory at Crewe, a result which extended Brentford's unbeaten league run to 19 matches. Leon Clarke is unlikely to be available for Wolves' top-of-the-table clash with promotion rivals Brentford. The striker missed last weekend's 2-0 victory over Notts County due to a heel injury and is again on the sidelines, although he is not too far away from a return. That means head coach Kenny Jackett could well opt to keep faith with the same starting XI who shot down the Magpies, with fit-again goalkeeper Carl Ikeme getting the nod ahead of Aaron McCarey. Midfielder Dave Edwards is available again having recovered from his long-term foot injury and will hope to make the bench.
