Walsall v Swindon preview

Image: Andy Taylor: Sidelined once more

Team news for Tuesday's League One clash between Walsall and Swindon Town at Banks's Stadium.

Andy Taylor will miss Walsall's midweek clash with promotion rivals Swindon through injury. The 27-year-old defender was forced to watch Saturday's game at Notts County from the sidelines with a knee problem and will continue to receive treatment. The Saddlers shrugged off the loss of Taylor to hammer County 5-1 and hat-trick hero Febian Brandy, on loan from Sheffield United, will again look to lead from the front. Walsall boss Dean Smith will be reluctant to make changes after such a resounding win as his side aim to extend their unbeaten run to seven games. Swindon are assessing Ryan Mason and Jay McEveley before Tuesday night's trip to Walsall. Mason was forced off with a muscle spasm 17 minutes into Saturday's victory over Shrewsbury while former Blackburn defender McEveley followed him down the tunnel two minutes into the second half after having his knee knocked. If McEveley fails to make it then Jamie Reckord, signed just three hours before kick off on Saturday, looks set for a start having impressed manager Mark Copper on his Robins debut while Ryan Harley is ready to deputise for Mason if he cannot feature. Cooper's men make the trip looking to record their first away victory since mid-November.
