Image: Carl McHugh: Has a groin problem

Team news for Saturday's League One clash between Bradford City and Shrewsbury at Valley Parade.

Bantams defender Carl McHugh hopes to recover from a groin injury in time to make the squad this weekend. McHugh sustained the injury in training earlier this month and has missed the last two matches, but could return to the bench. Manager Phil Parkinson will otherwise select from an unchanged squad and is expected to name the same XI that started in last week's win at Gillingham. Winger Mark Yeates is pushing for a recall but may have to be patient due to the impressive form of Kyel Reid, while nine-goal leading scorer Nahki Wells will partner James Hanson up front, with veteran Andy Gray waiting for his first appearance of the season on the bench. The Shrews will assess captain Tamika Mkandawire ahead of their trip north east but Jon Taylor definitely misses out due to suspension. Centre-back Mkandawire has returned to full training having missed the club's last three matches with a hamstring injury but it remains to be seen whether he will be risked so soon at Valley Parade. Winger Taylor serves a one-match ban having seen red in last weekend's 1-0 derby defeat to Wolves Striker John Marsden is expected to return from his foot injury for Town's reserves next week while Paul Parry (hip) and Jack Gwilliams (knee) continue to miss out.
