Jordan Rhodes: Hit the winner for Rovers
Blackburn Rovers banished their away-day blues to grab a deserved 1-0 win at Yeovil Town in the Championship.
A second-half strike by hitman Jordan Rhodes was enough to earn Rovers a second away win of the season and end the Glovers' four-match unbeaten run.
Rovers boss Gary Bowyer made one change to his side as he targeted back-to-back wins for the first time since October, with David Dunn replacing former Manchester United youngster Josh King in the side's engine room.
But striker DJ Campbell, who was one of six people questioned as part of a spot-fixing investigation and has been placed on bail until April 2014, was left out of Rovers' match-day squad - despite the 32-year-old returning to training this week.
Yeovil, who went into the game after successive draws, welcomed back goalkeeper Marek Stech following a four-month lay-off after he broke two bones in his hand against Birmingham City in August.
But there was no settling in period for the former West Ham stopper as he endured a busy afternoon in the first-ever meeting between the two sides.
Blackburn striker Rhodes, who has caught the eye of a number of Premier League sides this campaign, almost opened the scoring inside two minutes when Ryan Lowe's low drive hit his heels, but the ball deflected straight into Stech's arms.
The Lancashire side kept flooding forward in numbers, but Tom Cairney and Dunn were twice guilty of spurning glorious chances in the early exchanges.
Yeovil had their giant Czech goalkeeper to thank again before the break as Cairney's curling effort was pushed wide, before Rhodes was thwarted from close range.
The Somerset side started the second period with more vigour, and on-loan striker Ishmael Miller almost handed Yeovil an unlikely lead when his drilled shot was bravely blocked by Rovers skipper Scott Dann.
Looking a completely different side after the break, Yeovil midfielder John Lundstram almost lifted the roof at Huish Park with a swirling 20-yard strike, but Blackburn stopper Simon Eastwood clawed the stinging effort over the bar.
As the game descended into a frantic affair, Dunn's sensational solo effort was saved by Stech moments before Miller's thundering shot cannoned off the crossbar at the other end.
However, Rovers made Yeovil pay for some slack defending shortly before the hour mark when Dunn fed Rhodes, who slammed the ball home to notch his 13th goal of the season.
Undeterred by the setback, Yeovil continued to threaten and came inches away from an equaliser minutes later when Joe Ralls saw his curling effort crash off the post.
The Glovers desperately pumped the ball long to Miller and saw a penalty appeal turned down in the closing exchanges, but Rovers' rearguard stayed firm to earn a rare three points on the road.
