  1. Man Utd 4 Norwich 0. Perfect start for Ryan Giggs as United run out convincing winners. A brace apiece from Rooney and Mata keeps Norwich sweating on their Premier League status.

  2. 90+3

Should have been five. United counter and Mata sends Hernandez clean through on goal. He works his way onto his right foot, with Ruddy rooted to the spot. He then strikes across goal, but wide of the target. Unlike him to pass up an opportunity like that.

  3. 90+2

Clock ticking down, nothing is going to change now. Norwich will keep pushing, but United have so many men back that they will be determined to preserve a clean sheet.

  4. 90+1

Jones concedes a free-kick, and ambles back into position. Norwich haven't got enough in the tank to move play on quickly.

  5. Three minutes of stoppage-time to be played.

  6. 90

Olsson sees a speculative drive take a wicked deflection and loop up onto the top of the crossbar with De Gea beaten. From the corner, the ball drops kindly to Johnson seven yards out, but he leads back and skies a poor effort.

  7. 89

Norwich now keeping the ball among themselves. Whittaker eventually feeds it forward, but Snodgrass can't gather.

  8. 88

Elmander gets the ball back, 30 yards from his own goal. Norwich do well to work play out to Olsson, who is allowed to travel a long way. He lays off to Snodgrass, who cuts onto his less favoured right foot and curls wide of the target from 20 yards out.

  9. 87

Keep-ball from United in midfield. Norwich running out of energy and unable to chase it down. Hosts not looking to attack, just work triangles on halfway.

  10. 86

Mata looking to spread play to Young on the left, but his radar is off and the ball slips out for a throw. Norwich unable to piece anything together.

  11. 85

Rare work for De Gea as Johnson fires in a shot from distance which arrows towards the top corner. A smart reflex stop sees the ball parried behind. The corner comes to nothing.

  12. 84

United hardly busting a gut now to close down Norwich. They are happy to sit off a push up when the visitors close on the final third.

  13. 83

Young back to help out Evra. Hernandez then pulls out the party tricks as United counter with five men. The ball is worked out to Young, who joins the move late. Again, he cuts inside onto his right foot but fires high into the crowd.

  14. 82

Mata and Rooney desperate to claim the match ball. The Spanish playmaker exchanges passes with Hernadez, but there is no space. The ball squirts out to Rooney, who spots Ruddy off his link and dinks onto the roof of the net.

  15. 81

Jones allowed to ghost into the box from a throw deep in Norwich territory. A man not known for his goalscoring prowess has a swing from just inside the box, but slices well wide.

  16. 80

Final change made by Norwich. Tettey joins the action in place of Fer. Not a lot he can do to alter the course of this contest.

  17. 79

Elmander gathers wide on the right. Not where Norwich need him to be. Somehow, the ball breaks back his way as he cuts inside and he drives at the United defence before seeing a low effort skid inches past the post.

  18. 78

Young looking to catch the eye. He has been lively since coming on. He will be among those who regards a change in management to be a fresh start and an opportunity to start again.

  19. 77

Fer collects a floated cross at the back post, but is forced away from goal. He has Whittaker in support, but he has to settle for a throw as Evra races out to meet him.

  20. 76

United breaking with numbers again. Valencia leads the charge, and decides that he wants to get in on the act. Norwich back off into their own box, allowing Valencia to drill into the arms of Ruddy.
