  1. It's all over at the Liberty Stadium with Swansea cruising to a 4-0 win thanks to a flurry of second-half goals. Gus Poyet has been given a brutal introduction to life in the Premier League as his side remain rooted to the foot of the table.

  2. 90+1

Swansea are toying with the visitors now as Britton draws a foul from Colback. Swansea try to press for a fifth but Sunderland are able to clear after a loose touch from Vazquez.

  3. 90

There will be three minutes of stoppage time.

  4. 89

Gus Poyet strokes his chin on the Sunderland bench. This second-half has certainly given him plenty to think about and perhaps a real indicator of the task he faces.

  5. 87

There is absolutely nothing of any note to report with this game completely dead and buried. Sunderland knock the ball around their area and Swansea are happy to allow them to do so.

  6. 85

In the midst of Swansea's fourth goal, Pozuelo came on to replace Routledge.

  7. 84

Altidore heads wide when unmarked at the back-post after a deep cross from Celustka, he'll have been relieved to see the offside flag as he should have hit the target.

  8. 82

It would be harsh for that to go down as an own goal for Fletcher as he was looking in the other direction, but it clearly came off him last. Gus Poyet looks helpless on the Sunderland bench, his side have well and truly been put to the sword this second-half.

  9. 80

Jozy Altidore replaces Fletcher for Sunderland.

  10. Swansea make it four! The resulting corner from de Guzman finds Chico Flores who stoops to head against the legs of Steven Fletcher and past Westwood. 4-0.

  11. 78

Westwood is forced to pull off another stunning save as he palms Michu's powerful header wide for a corner.

  12. 77

Cattermole draws a foul from Routledge before Borini's dipping volley can only find the arms of Vorm. Rare effort on target for the visitors.

  13. 76

Borini looks to work his side into a good position but he isn't blessed with an abundance of pace and the attack breaks down due to a lack of support.

  14. Vazquez replaces Bony upfront to make his home league debut for Swansea.

  15. 74

Swansea are preparing a substitution with Getafe-loanee Alvaro Vazquez ready to come on.

  16. 73

Westwood does well to confidently come off his line to punch clear before de Guzman's cross lands on the roof of the net as he looks towards the back post.

  17. 72

Routledge does well to take the ball towards the byline, winning a corner off Roberge which de Guzman will take.

  18. 70

The tempo has really stepped down a notch now as Borini concedes a free-kick on the edge of the Sunderland box.

  19. 68

Swansea are enjoying a good spell of possession, they don't look like they'll be happy to settle for three either as they continue to press.

  20. 67

Cattermole fouls Michu inside the Sunderland half and concedes a free-kick. The midfielder looks very frustrated as he squares up to the Spaniard.

  21. 66

Sunderland are understandably shell-shocked but the penalty call did look to be the correct decision. Swansea are cruising now and look well on course for their first home win of the season.

  22. It's three! Cool as you like from Bony who only needs one step in his run up to pick out the top corner and surely put this game to bed. 3-0.

  23. 62

Penalty to Swansea after Gardner clipped Britton inside the area. Bony to take.

  24. 62

What a save from Westwood! The ball falls kindly to de Guzman in the area, he connects with it perfectly but Westwood is equal to it and flies across goal to parry wide.

  25. 61

Chance for Sunderland as Borini races onto a speculative through-ball, only to blaze over with his first touch of the game.

  26. Gus Poyet looks to turn the flow of the game with a double substitution. Fabio Borini replaces Adam Johnson and Jack Colback comes on in place of Emanuele Giaccherini.

  27. 59

What a hammer blow for Gus Poyet's Sunderland. They were unfortunate for the first goal, with Bardsley only able to divert into his own net, but they couldn't have done anything to prevent the second. Superb finish from de Guzman.

  28. They've done it again! This time there's no doubt about it as Jonathan de Guzman picks out the top corner from some distance with an expertly taken strike. 2-0.

  29. Swansea take the lead! De Guzman and Rangel are celebrating but it appears to have inadvertently come off Bardsley after de Guzman's corner. 1-0.

  30. 55

Another foul from Flores on Fletcher sees Sunderland handed a free-kick. Gus Poyet can't believe the defender hasn't been shown the yellow card.

  31. 54

Another chance goes to waste for Swansea as Bony skies the ball from six yards after an excellent delivery from Rangel. The striker really should have done better there.

  32. 53

Chico Flores needlessly brings down Fletcher inside the centre circle and Sunderland are awarded a free-kick.

  33. 52

Good chance for Swansea now as Michu controls in the area before blasting over from an acute angle after a clever ball from de Guzman found its way to him.

  34. Swansea make the first change of the game as Neil Taylor replaces Ben Davies in defence.

  35. 50

  36. 49

Swansea win a corner after a lovely passing move started by a back-heel from Bony. Michu charges into the box after a couple of exchanges and wins a corner off Celustka.

  37. 48

If only that had fallen to the likes of Fletcher, Sunderland would surely be ahead. It's been a lively start to the half from them.

  38. 47

Huge chance for Sunderland! After his intial corner was cleared, Johnson uses his trickery to turn into a crossing position, he guides the ball through a crowded area where Bardsley is waiting at the back post, only to blaze over the bar when he should have hit the target.

  39. 46

It's a bright start from Sunderland as Giaccherini manages to win a corner after a good run down the right flank.

  40. 45

The teams are out for the second-half and Sunderland get us back underway.

  41. It's as you were at the Liberty Stadium with not much to separate between the two teams. Fletcher had the pick of the chances for Sunderland while de Guzman has come the closest to breaking the deadlock for Swansea, but it's still all square. 0-0.

  42. 45+1

Flores goes into the book for the foul.

  43. 45+1

Johnson is flattened by Chico Flores on the left and Sunderland are handed an opportunity to have the last chance of the half. Larsson to take.

  46. 43

De Guzman floats the free-kick towards the back post where Bony and Flores are lurking, but Sunderland have bodies back and are able to clear.

  47. 41

Despite the protests of the home crowd and Michu, Roberge is only shown the yellow card and Swansea have a free-kick in a dangerous position, just to the right of the box. De Guzman to take.

  48. 40

Michu nicks the ball from Roberge before the defender hauls him down to the disgust of the home crowd.

  49. 39

Swansea continue to press as Gardner is forced to hoof clear upfield. It's been frustrating for them in attack though so far.

  50. 38

Michu draws a foul from Roberge to win a free-kick. He tries to take it quickly but is clearly annoyed that Larsson won't get out of his way. There are a few handbags before Swansea eventually take the set piece.

  51. 37

Joe Kinnear is in attendance at the Liberty Stadium, casting his eye over Sunderland ahead of next weekend's Tyne-Wear derby against Newcastle.

  52. 36

Routledge has no joy down the right and it goes behind for a goalkick. Sunderland are making it very difficult for the hosts to find space.

  53. 35

There's some neat football from Sunderland as Cattermole, Larsson and Gardner all exchange passes in the middle. Poyet's inlfuence seems to be visible.

  54. 34

Westwood gets down to his right to clutch onto Rangel's deflected strike from distance. Comfortable save in the end.

  55. 33

Celustka and Giaccherini try to combine down the right but they find themselves outnumbered and Swansea clear their lines.

  56. 32

Great effort from de Guzman. His ambitious right-footed strike just evades the post with Westwood flying across his goal. That's the closest Swansea have come.

  57. 31

Gardner blocks off Bony and Swansea are given a chance to get the ball into the box via a free-kick. De Guzman, Davies and Bony all eye it. Possible shooting position too.

  58. 30

O'Shea stands firm to block Routledge's long-range effort before Roberg can head clear.

  59. 29

It almost falls for Davies after Britton's through-ball had wrong-footed O'Shea. The full-back can't quite reach it though and it rolls out for a goalkick.

  60. 28

Westwood does well to command his area and punch the corner clear.

  61. 27

Swansea win a corner at the other end as Bardsley dispossesses Dyer. Davies to take.

  62. 26

Giaccherini flicks on O'Shea's long ball for Fletcher to latch onto, but the linesman's flag is raised with the striker through on goal.

  63. 25

De Guzman is wasteful yet again as his overhit ball looking for Bony goes behind for a goalkick.

  64. 24

Gardner brings down Michu inside the Sunderland half. Free-kick to Swansea.

  65. 23

Bardsley gets forward well down the left where he whips in a deep ball towards Larsson at the back post, he cuts it accross goal on the half-volley before Vorm eventually collects it.

  66. 22

The game has really opened up now as Swansea look to mount an attack. Both teams have been very positive so far.

  67. 21

Amat clears for a throw-in after Celustka had bombed forward from right-back to put the ball into the area.

  68. 20

De Guzman is given another opportunity to cross but his delivery is adjudged to have gone out of player and Sunderland are allowed a breather. This has been better from the Swans.

  69. 19

De Guzman arrows a ball towards the back post where Davies is able to head across goal before Sunderland clear their lines.

  70. 18

There's a brief half-chance as Bony looks for de Guzman with a ball over the top, only for Westwood to smother him.

  71. 17

Still no real attempts on goal for Swansea who are chasing their first home win of the season.

  72. 16

Giaccherini is full of running as he forces Chico Flores into an awkward position near the corner flag. The defender does well though and wins a throw off Giaccherini.

  73. 15

Vorm rushes off his line to collect the ball after Giaccherini attempts to thread Larsson into a shooting position. The Swansea defence has struggled with Sunderland's movement.

  74. 14

It's fair to say that Sunderland have looked to be the better side so far, they're pressing high up the pitch, like we saw against Manchester United, and they look hungry to win the ball in midfield.

  75. 13

A free-kick is awarded to Sunderland on the halfway line after Fletcher drew a foul from Amat.

  76. 12

The first chance of the game comes for Sunderland as Fletcher fires wide. Johson's corner found the forward peel away from his marker before striking just past the post on the half-volley. That looked to be something straight from the training ground.

  77. 11

Larsson's delivery towards the back post is hooked away for a corner by Amat.

  78. 10

Rangel clips the heels of Johnson near the corner flag and Sunderland are now awarded a free-kick in a crossing position. Larsson to take.

  79. 9

De Guzman's free-kick is a decent delivery but slightly over-hit and looking for the run of Michu, it goes behind for a goalkick.

  80. 7

Bardsley goes into the book for his challenge on Dyer.

  81. 7

Bardsley comes in late on Dyer and a free-kick in a promising position for Swansea.

  82. 6

Poyet is in his technical area, looking animated as ever as he dishes out a few instructions. He should be fairly content with what he's seen so far.

  83. 5

Still no chances for either side in the opening five minutes as Westwood collects de Guzman's cross. The goalkeeper looks to have taken a knock in the process but is now back on his feet.

  84. 4

Giaccherini picks up Bony's loose pass but his ball finds Fletcher in an offside position on the left wing.

  85. 3

Sunderland win a free-kick just inside their own half after Cattermole is shoved off the ball by Bony.

  86. 2

It's Swansea with the share of the possession in the opening minutes. Routledge is eventually blocked off in the area and the ball goes behind for a goalkick.

  87. 1

The hosts Swansea get us underway at the Liberty Stadium.

  88. Both teams eventually take to the field to the sound of White Riot by The Clash. The players now prepare for the usual pre-match pleasantries.

  89. With seven minutes ot go until kick-off, the Swansea team are looking eager. They're already waiting in the tunnel while Gus Poyet presumably makes the most of the time he's got to make sure his side knows exactly what is expected of them.

  90. Stats:

The visitors, Sunderland, have endured a miserable season so far, only picking up one point from their opening seven, but they will be hoping that new boss Gus Poyet makes an instant impact in his first game in charge. All eyes will be on Poyet as he aims to help his new employers to their first win and lift the Black Cats off the foot of the table.
