  1. Full-time and Southampton take the points! Rickie Lambert's last minute penalty is enough to give them victory at the Hawthorns. Steve Clarke and his team will be very disappointed after edging the second half. A draw would probably have been a fair result but it's the Saints who get the win and their travelling support can make the long journey back to the south coast happy.

  2. 90+3

Jamie Ward-Prowse comes off for Jack Cork as the visitors look to run the clock down.

  3. 90+1

West Brom haven't given up. Boruc is forced to make a smart save to deny a header from Morrison. Southampton clear the resulting corner.

  4. 90

Rickie Lambert steps up and makes no mistake, driving the ball low into the left hand corner of the net. Foster guessed right but had no chance. 1-0 in the final minute of normal time.

  5. 88

Penalty to Southampton! Luke Shaw has been quieter this half but drives into the box and is taken down by Mulumbu!

  6. 84

Southampton corner from the left. Cleared.

  7. 82

Double change for West Brom. Matej Vydra is on for Nicolas Anelka and Markus Rosenberg replaces Shane Long.

  8. 82

Mulumbu goes into the book after showing his frustration at a handball decision going against him by bouncing the ball violently into the ground.

  9. 80

Goalless as we enter the final 10 minutes of normal time. The home side are pushing for the breakthrough but Southampton are holding firm as it stands.

  10. 78

Steven Davis comes on for the visitors. The lively Rodriguez is the man to be replaced. Plenty of energy but a lack of end product from the former Burnley man. Sums this match up nicely.

  11. Another booking. This time for Billy Jones as he collides with Jay Rodriguez. Less of a foul than the one he got away with, that's for sure.

  12. 73

Corner to Southampton. Fonte and Lovren forward but Foster expertly claims and sets Anelka away for Albion. He lacks support and the ball ends up being played back to the halfway line.

  13. 70

Lallana goes off to be replaced by Gaston Ramirez. He'll feel he should have scored the goal to put his side in front - the referee's assistant disagreed.

  14. 69

Another West Brom free-kick wide on the left after Wanyama fouls Long.

  15. 67

Shane Long is receiving treatment after being caught, accidentally it seems, by a Lovren elbow.

  16. 66

Big chance for West Brom as Jones gets to the byline, pulls the ball back across goal but James Morrison is denied by a last ditch block, 5 yards out.

  17. 65

Moments later and Anelka sniffs a chance from Morrison's pass but Lovren is across to deny him with a superb sliding tackle.

  18. 65

Slightly nasty challenge from Billy Jones on Southampton captain Adam Lallana, he goes over the ball but fortunately only brushes the midfielders shin.

  19. 63

Both sides going for it here with just under half an hour to play. A much better second half up to now.

  20. 61

West Brom free-kick in a dangerous position on the left, in line with the 18 yard line. Whipped in but Boruc comes to claim and the trouble is averted.
