Eden Hazard: Netted Chelsea's second goal in the friendly win over Inter Milan

First-half goals from Oscar and Eden Hazard inspired Chelsea to a 2-0 victory over 10-man Inter Milan in Indianapolis.

Oscar opened the scoring on 13 minutes with a fine curling shot before fellow midfielder Hazard doubled their advantage 16 minutes later from the penalty spot.

Inter were reduced to 10 men on 58 minutes when Hugo Campagnaro was given a straight red card for a dangerous challenge on John Terry, who escaped injury and went on to complete the full game.

Just two minutes after Inter's Fredy Guarin went close with a volley, Chelsea moved in front when Victor Moses teed up Oscar and the Brazilian slammed a shot past Samir Handanovic.

Goal chances continued at both ends, with Petr Cech producing a fine save from a deflected Rodrigo Palacio effort and Oscar spurning a great opportunity for a second after he was put through by Gary Cahill.

Chelsea did increase their lead on 29 minutes when Moses was tripped by Alvaro Pereira, although replays showed contact occurred outside the area.

Pereira was booked for remonstrating with the referee and Hazard made no mistake from the spot, sending Handanovic the wrong way.

Mauro Emanuel Icardi thought he had pegged one back for Inter three minutes after the restart but his effort was ruled out for offside, while Romelu Lukaku smashed a shot off the post at the other end.

Tempers flared on the hour mark followed Campagnaro's poor challenge on Terry, which resulted in the Italian being dismissed.

Jose Mourinho emptied his bench during the second half and substitutes Demba Ba and Fernando Torres both spurned late chances to put a gloss on the victory.

Next up for Chelsea is a clash with AC Milan in New York's MetLife Stadium on Sunday.
