Ricky van Wolfswinkel: Played 45 minutes for the Canaries
Norwich lost 1-0 to San Jose Earthquakes in their pre-season friendly at the Buck Shaw Stadium on Saturday.
New signings Ricky van Wolfswinkel and Leroy Fer played 45 minutes each, but could not prevent Cordell Cato's seventh-minute goal deciding the match.
Canaries boss Chris Hughton refused to be downbeat, saying on the club website: "I thought Ricky looked really sharp and Leroy was prepared to get on the ball and show some of the qualities of his game, but there were a lot of pluses."
Midfielder Jonny Howson missed Thursday's match against Dorados de Sinaloa but returned to action against San Jose. but Hughton confirmed his midfield partner Bradley Johnson would not feature on the tour.
"Bradley went over on his knee a few days ago now - the good news is that it's not going to be a problem but he will miss these games, which is a little bit of a blow for us," he said.
"Jonny missed the last game through illness but back again today and will play a part again on Wednesday, and we expect that game against Portland to be equally as tough."
