Image: Michael Poke: Struggling to overcome rib injury

Team news ahead of Tuesday's League Two clash between Torquay United and Barnet at Plainmoor.

Gulls goalkeeper Michael Poke is facing a battle to be fit for this vital rearranged clash. Poke would have missed the visit of the Bees on Saturday with a rib muscle injury but the match was postponed before kick-off after heavy rain. That extra recovery time means there is a chance the former Southampton man could come back into Alan Knill's starting line-up. Former Exeter keeper Martin Rice, who had been deputising for Poke, picked up a slight knock in the 1-0 loss at Gillingham while winger Danny Stevens (groin) and midfielder Craig Easton (calf) are close to returning to first-team action. Knill will be without winger Jordan Chapell after he returned to parent club Sheffield United on Thursday following the departure of Blades boss Danny Wilson. Barry Fuller returns from suspension for the visitors. The defender has completed a two-match ban and would have returned on Saturday had the original fixture at Torquay not been postponed due to the wet conditions. Fuller is poised to replace Ross Jenkins in Edgar Davids' squad after the midfielder went back to Watford at the end of his loan spell. Player-boss Davids is still without Crystal Palace loanee Kyle De Silva, who completes a three-match ban for his red card against the Daggers, while fellow strikers Steve Kabba (knee) and Ricky Holmes (foot) remain on the sidelines. Jamal Lowe played for the reserves in midweek to build up his fitness and could be involved as Davids is considering playing two up front for the crucial survival battle.
