Swindon v Crewe preview

Image: Alan Navarro: Sweating on scan

Team news ahead of Tuesday's League One clash between Swindon Town and Crewe Alexandra at the County Ground.

The hosts look set to be without Alan Navarro, who was an unused substitute in the 2-0 defeat at Sheffield United on Saturday. The midfielder has gone for a scan on a hamstring injury he picked up against MK Dons last week. Robins boss Kevin MacDonald said he hoped it would not be a serious injury but the club will know more after the scan. Meanwhile, Tommy Miller is not running yet as he looks to return from a calf problem, ruling him out of the visit of the Railwaymen. Nathan Thompson, Troy Archibald-Henville, Miles Storey, Jay McEveley, Aaron Oakley and Louis Thompson are all out for the rest of the season. Swindon are currently in the last League One play-off spot, just one point clear of seventh-placed Walsall. Steve Phillips and Luke Murphy remain major injury doubts for the visitors. Alan Martin started between the posts in Saturday's 2-1 defeat to leaders Doncaster at Gresty Road, with Phillips laid low due to a dead leg suffered during the loss at Brentford in midweek. Skipper Murphy sat out at the weekend as he continues to nurse a groin problem that sidelined him in the weeks leading up to his starring role in Alex's 2-0 Johnstone's Paint Trophy triumph over Southend at Wembley. Rookie centre-back George Ray made his full debut against Rovers and will hope to continue, although boss Steve Davis may return to a back four after the Railwaymen lined-up 3-5-2 last time out. Midfielder Abdul Osman must serve the second game of a two-match suspension for collecting 10 yellow cards this season. Top scorer Mathias Pogba (thigh) will miss the remainder of the season, while defender Adam Dugdale remains on compassionate leave.
