Joe Anyinsah: Doubtful for Pirates

Joe Anyinsah: Doubtful for Pirates

Team news for Wednesday's League Two clash between Bristol Rovers and Exeter City at the Memorial Stadium.

Bristol Rovers winger Joe Anyinsah is a doubt for the Wednesday night visit of Exeter.

The former Charlton man was forced to come off just 25 minutes into Saturday's 3-0 win over Burton after tweaking his hamstring.

John Ward sent on Oliver Norburn to replace Anyinsah and he could get the nod again if the latter fails to make it.

Fabian Broghammer is back in training after injury and he comes into contention.

Another positive has been the return of Adam Virgo to Rovers' matchday squad. The former Celtic man has not played since October through injury but has been an unused substitute in the last two matches.

Rovers' victory over the Brewers on Saturday came days after they lost midfielder Seanan Clucas and striker David Clarkson to season-ending injuries.

Exeter have no fresh injury concerns as they look for their twelfth away win of the season.

Former Bristol City attacker Jimmy Keohane is pushing for a return to the starting line-up having made his comeback from injury as a substitute in the 3-0 victory over Northampton on Saturday.

And Paul Tisdale is blessed with a number of options should he decide to freshen up his side for the short trip.

Spanish striker Guillem Bauza scored for City's development side in a 2-0 win over Plymouth on Monday and is pushing to start along with Irish forward John O'Flynn, who has been a regular off the bench in recent weeks.

But former Rovers striker Jamie Cureton, who scored 72 league goals for the Pirates in 167 starts, again looks likely to get the nod as the lone forward having bagged his 20th goal of the season in Saturday's comfortable win.
