  1. Full Time. That's it. Steven Gerrard's late penalty gave Liverpool a thrilling 3-2 win in a topsy-turvy game at Anfield.

  2. 90+2

    Three minutes of added time.

  3. 90

No signs of a Tottenham equaliser here as Liverpool continue to fight to hold on for this win.

  4. 89

    Henderson on for Sturridge.

  5. 84

Ambitious free-kick from Bale that just dips over the bar.

  6. 84

    Holtby on for Livermore.

  7. 83

    Carragher booked.

  8. 82

Goal! Steven Gerrard with the goal! Sends the keeper the wrong way.

  9. 82

Penalty given. Suarez fouled in the box after Defoe foolishly put the ball back into his own box. Assou-Ekotto with the foul.

  10. Can anyone snatch all three points here? Liverpool are the 3/1 favourites to do so with Tottenham 9/2.

  11. 79

Carragher fouls Defoe. Another free-kick to deal with.

  12. 77

Sturridge goes down in the box after a clip from Vertonghen. He was touched but it is such an extravagant dive that the referee is unimpressed.

  13. 75

Walker with the cross from the right and Bale has the chance to attack it but Carragher does enough to ensure he puts the ball wide of the far post.

  14. 74

Liverpool pushing now and Sturridge puts a header into the sidenetting. Even contest.

  15. 71

Sturridge with a chance to get away down the right but he turns back onto his stronger foot and is eventually tackled in the area by Vertonghen.

  16. 70

Gerrard's delivery is cleared as far as Enrique but his shot drifts wide.

  17. 69

    Corner to Liverpool.

  18. 68

Bale wins a corner with another purposeful run but it comes to nothing as Dawson is adjudged to have fouled in the box from Sigurdsson's cross.

  19. Walker with a horrible back-pass that puts Downing through. The Liverpool man was being dragged wide but Lloris came bounding off his line to try and intercept the ball, only managing to kick the ball into Downing. With the goalkeeper beaten, he just had to slot the ball past Vertonghen on the line and still managed to nutmeg the defender to score. Comedy of errors!

  20. 66

    Goal! Stewart Downing!

  21. 64

Johnson has the chance to play in Suarez after Dawson slips but he can only find Assou-Ekotto. Slack play and it sums up their half.

  22. 62

Liverpool just seem to have lost their way in this game.

  23. 60

More good play from Spurs as Dembele skips past several challenges before shooting on goal but Jones parries.

  24. 59

    Allen on for Coutinho.

  25. 59

Parker with the driving run this time and he finds Defoe who spins to his left before blazing over the bar.

  26. 57

Chance! Sigurdsson's deflected shot hits the post. Astonishing pace and skill from Bale as he leaves Gerrard, Lucas and Carragher for dead before crossing with his weaker foot to find Sigurdsson in space.

  27. 57

    Vertonghen booked for handball.

  28. 55

Both Spurs goals stemming from questionable free-kick decisions so ironic cheers when Liverpool are awarded a decision.

  29. It's another inswinging cross from Bale. Carragher gets a head on the ball under pressure from Dawson but only as far as Vertonghen. He does brilliantly to get his feet sorted out and strike the bouncing ball cleanly past Jones.

  30. 53

    Goal! Jan Vertonghen scores again!

  31. 53

Lucas ruled to have fouled Bale. Not a lot in that but perhaps a palm to the face.

  32. 52

Defoe with a shot from the right that Jones pushes away. Powerfully hit but straight at the keeper, although the rebound almost fell to Bale.

  33. 51

Gerrard feeds Suarez in space down the right but the Uruguayan cannot find Sturridge or Coutinho at the far post. Walker clears.

  34. 50

Gerrard finds Coutinho but the Brazilian is dispossessed by Livermore.

  35. 48

Sigurdsson with a cross from the left but Jones claims. The keeper then rolls the ball out to Carragher who is under pressure and Tottenham nearly seize the ball.

  36. 47

Defoe almost catches Carragher out at one end and then Vertonghen has to be alert to stop Sturridge at the other.

  37. 46

Liverpool kick-off and the second half is underway.

  38. Half Time. That's the end of the first half and it's 1-1 at the break. Liverpool started well and then took the lead through Suarez just as Spurs started to take charge. That lifted the crowd but the visitors did find an equaliser through Vertonghen on the stroke of half time. Intriguingly poised now.

  39. 45

    Three minutes of added time.

  40. Dawson and Vertonghen both stayed up in attack from the free-kick for that Gerrard foul. The ball eventually came out to Bale on the right and his inswinging cross found Vertonghen who headed it low into the far corner.

  41. 45

    Goal! Jan Vertonghen!

  42. 43

Gerrard now being spoken to by the referee for an aerial challenge on Bale. He won the ball but led with the elbow into the back of Bale.

  43. 41

Spat between Parker and Suarez. Delays as the referee calls them over.

  44. 40

Assou-Ekotto is the spare man on the left but he fires weakly at Jones.

  45. 39

Enrique with a fine long ball on the break to Sturridge who finds Suarez with the knockdown. The ball comes back out to Sturridge out on the right but his tame shot only finds Lloris.

  46. 38

Suarez unhappy as Assou-Ekotto appears to pull him to the ground but the referee waves away the appeals.

  47. 37

Chance! Great football from Spurs and Bale releases Sigurdsson with a delicious flick. There is time and space to pick the spot from 20 yards but he just strokes the ball wide of the post.

  48. 35

Bale does have a run this time and gets away from four men down the right channel but skews his right-footed shot wide under pressure.

  49. 35

Parker bullied out of possession by Suarez. Parker and Livermore struggling to get things going for Spurs in the centre.

  50. 34

Bale shoots ambitiously at that's gone into the Kop.

  51. 33

Now Spurs do attack but Defoe sees his shot blocked.

  52. 33

Spurs struggling to find their rhythm here. Bale, in particular, not getting on the ball.

  53. 31

Suarez dumps Dembele on the ground with a late challenge.

  54. 29

Coutinho with a really clever pass with the outside of his right foot. Suarez adjudged offside. Dubiously but Lloris was there anyway.

  55. 28

    Livermore fouls Suarez.

  56. 27

Gerrard then plays another clever pass to put Suarez clear in the right channel. He has Sturridge available for the cut back but opts to try and beat Lloris from a tight angle and the keeper is up to it.

  57. 26

Brilliant long ball from Gerrard is perfect for Downing who beats his man but sees the cross cleared.

  58. 25

Bale swings in a corner but Jones claims.

  59. 24

Liverpool really have their tails up now and are pushing for a second. Johnson gets away down the right but Vertonghen does well to recover and tackle inside the box.

  60. Great skill from Coutinho to start the move and then he puts Enrique away. The full-back checks the run and lays the ball back to Coutinho on the left. He proceeds to put Enrique through again and this time Enrique helps the ball on to Suarez who has broke the offside trap in the left channel and slips the ball under Lloris at his near post.

  61. 21

    Goal! Luis Suarez! Who else!

  62. 20

Better from Liverpool as Downing gets to the byline and cuts the ball back to Enrique whose shot is blocked. Then Coutinho attempts a curled effort into the top corner but it's a little too high and wide.

  63. 18

Home crowd unhappy now as Spurs push and Liverpool cannot get the ball out of their own half.

  64. 17

Bale lays the ball back to Sigurdsson but the shot is deflected and trickles through for Jones to collect.

  65. 16

Dawson and Suarez collide. Good tackle from Dawson but he's come off worse and is still hobbling.

  66. 14

Spurs coming into this more now after Liverpool's bright start.

  67. 13

That really did look ugly. But Liverpool survive the subsquent corner.

  68. 12

Bale hits the target and the ball is swerving in the air. Jones pushes the ball away nervously for a corner.

  69. 12

    Free-kick opportunity for Bale.

  70. 11

Scrappy passage of play in the middle before Dembele shows good skill to get away from danger before being fouled by Agger.

  71. 9

The visitors still stroking the ball around without making any headway or even getting Bale on it.

  72. 8

Spurs trying to take the sting out of the game with some possession football in their own half.

  73. 7

Tottenham's high line breached again as Sturridge bears down on Lloris but when the Liverpool man attempts to go round the goalkeeper his first touch is far too strong and pushes him to the byline.

  74. 6

Spurs struggling to get hold of the ball. Parker with a poor pass that runs through to Jones.

  75. 5

Assou-Ekotto is robbed by Downing in a dangerous position and Sturridge is away down the right channel. Vertonghen forces him slightly too wide and the forward blazes over the bar with his weaker foot.

  76. 4

Bright start from the home side as they build from the back. Downing with a fine crossfield pass to Coutinho but the Brazilian loses out to Walker when he attempts to run down the left flank.

  77. 3

Lucas with a good diagonal pass trying to find Downing cutting in from the right but the offside flag goes up.

  78. 2

Spurs attack first but then get a taste of the threat Liverpool can pose on the break. Suarez feeds Sturridge out on the right and his first-time pass back to the Uruguayan almost puts him through. Suarez's first touch is good but Walker is there with his pace on the cover.

  79. 1

Tottenham kick-off and we are underway.

  80. Thanks for your feedback. The players are in the tunnel and about to come out onto the field.

  81. I do love a detailed prediction.

  82. Coutinho has had a hugely impressive start to his Liverpool career. Just wonder whether there'll be much space for him with both Parker and Livermore playing.

  83. In fact, Spurs are unbeaten in 12 consecutive Premier League games for the first time.

  84. The Reds have kept clean sheets in six of their last eight Premier League games at Anfield. But only Man Utd (32) have gained more away points this season than Spurs (26).

  85. Reports suggest Reina is out with a calf injury, hence Jones deputising in the Liverpool goal. Significant?

  86. Indeed, Liverpool's last six Premier League wins have seen them score 24 goals and concede none (4-0, 5-0, 5-0, 3-0, 3-0, 4-0).

  87. Certainly plenty of goals in this Liverpool team. Their total of 53 goals from 28 games is their second best at this stage of a PL season (after 56 in 1995-96).

  88. Looks like Dembele will play a little further forward today as both Parker and Livermore are in the team. Still expecting it to be quite open.

  89. Should be plenty of action today. Liverpool and Tottenham have averaged the most shots per Premier League game this season (excluding blocked) 14.0 and 13.1 respectively.

  90. Liverpool: Jones; Johnson, Carragher, Agger, Enrique; Lucas, Gerrard; Downing, Coutinho, Suarez; Sturridge.

  91. Tottenham: Lloris; Walker, Dawson, Vertonghen, Assou-Ekotto; Parker, Livermore: Sigurdsson, Dembele, Bale; Defoe.

  92. Bale is the first Welsh player to score 16 goals in a single Premier League campaign. He is looking to become the first Tottenham player to score in six successive Premier League games.

  93. Suarez is only the third Liverpool player to score 20+ goals in a Premier League season after Robbie Fowler and Fernando Torres. Michael Owen never quite managed it despite being Liverpool's top scorer for seven consecutive seasons.

  94. I'm expecting to be told by fans of both clubs how sick you are of the 'one-man team' talk. But you'll have to forgive the neutrals their short-hand descriptions. Suarez (8) and Bale (7) are the top scoring Premier League players in the year 2013.

  95. Any predictions ahead of this one? Let me know by email at or on Twitter @GhostGoal.

  96. Our friends at Sky Bet have the odds for this one and rate Liverpool the 5/6 favourites. Tottenham are the 11/4 underdogs and the draw is available at 3/1.

  97. And there's plenty at stake too. Spurs are looking to tighten their grip on a top-three finish, while Liverpool have not given up on qualifying for Europe themselves.

  98. It's been billed as the battle of the one-man teams but we all now there's more to these sides than that.

  99. Welcome to live commentary of the Super Sunday clash between Liverpool and Tottenham at Anfield.
