Itumeleng Khune: Warned his team-mates not to get ahead of themselves

South Africa goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune has warned his team-mates not to get too far ahead of themselves as they look to claim a place in the last eight of the African Nations Cup.

The tournament hosts need a point from their final Group A match against Morocco to reach the quarter-finals for the first time in 11 years, but Khune knows they must focus solely on Sunday's match.

"We're not there yet. It still has to be business as usual until tomorrow, all the focus now has to be on that last game of the group, which will be a tough one," he said.

"We'll have to treat them with respect as they are a team which has done well in the past but I'm confident the team spirit we have now will be crucial in the next match."

Bafana Bafana, who will be without injured striker Lehlohonolo Majoro tomorrow, put themselves in pole position in the group with a 2-0 win over Angola last time out.

Morocco have drawn both of their opening matches against Angola and Cape Verde, and badly need a win tomorrow to keep alive their hopes of progressing.

The Atlas Lions coach Rachid Taoussi said: "It's a match where there's going to be a winner and a loser.

"South Africa will go two ways - they will play defence and attack.

"For us we will try and put the pressure on them and not let them put the pressure on us."

"After the last game, I spoke to the players immediately after at dinner and told them that everyone must blame himself for the mistakes we made.

"We will try to avoid those mistakes in the game with South Africa. We still have very high hopes that we can progress. Everyone knows it is a must-win game and we will go out there to win."
