1. It's more disappointment for Morocco, who are inconsolable after being dumped out of the group stage for the fourth successive time. Jubilation for South Africa though as they join Cape Verde in the last-right, with the team huddled in the middle of the pitch now in a show of unity. Well, I hope you've enjoyed it.    And that's it! South Africa go through to the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations quarter-finals as Group A winners, while Morocco are sent home early!

   We're already past the four minutes of added time, but a lengthy injury has seen the referee add a couple of extra minutes on.

   The fourth official shows there will be four minutes of time added on, and Gordon Igesund moves to eat those up immediately as he takes off for May Mahlangu.

   It's a carbon copy of South Africa's first, and the host nation are back at the top of the group, Siyabonga Sangweni being fed the ball on the edge of the area before holding up play and curling a stunning effort into the same corner May Mahlangu found earlier.

    So as it stands, South Africa are through to the quarter-finals of the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations, where they will be joined by Angola, who still lead Cape Verde 1-0. The Blue Sharks are heading for a basement finish in the group stages, while Morocco are currently third.

    Bernard Parker picks up a booking now, seemingly for arguing with the referee, despite his side having been awarded a free-kick.

    That is stunning from May Mahlangu, and Bafana are right back in this! He works a nice one-two with Tokelo Rantie to set himself up acres of shooting space, and he picks up a sumptuous curling effort which leaves the keeper no chance before nestling in the top corner of the net.

    The two sets of players have done well to play against the adverse weather conditions, with the wind howling furiously through the stadium, although at least the rain has stopped for now.

    Really decent chance for Morocco as Kamel Chafni is teed up on the edge of the area, but he gets his shot all wrong and blazes miles over.

    Bafana do have a corner though, which is whipped in but only finds the first defender, who can head clear.

    Another excellent delivery from Thusa Phala, but an equally impressive save from the keeper as he turns the ball out to safety with a diving save.

    Decent chance for South Africa to level things as a deep corner finds Siyabonga Sangweni at the far-post, but he can't get the right connection on the ball and heads well behind.

    Itumeleng Khune has been the only thing standing between Bafana and a real walloping. The keeper again finds himself in a one-on-one situation, but once more he comes up with the goods as he just gets a glove on Youssef El-Arabi's shot. A superb display from the Kaizer Chiefs number-one, it must be said.

    A number of off-sides come in quick succession, breaking up what has been a dominant second-half performance from Bafana, at least in terms of possession.

    Thulani Serero tries to work his way into the area, but ends up toe poking the ball straight to the goalkeeper.

    Abdelilah Hafidi goes into the referee's book just moments after coming on, a move his coach won't be too happy about I'm sure.

    Thusa Phala takes the set piece and very almost finds the back of the net, but Nadir Lamyaghri produces a sublime one-handed save to keep the ball from finding the very top corner.

    Thusa Phala has looked lively for the hosts and he breaks into the area from out wide before squaring the ball across goal, but the keeper does well to read it and is there to save.

    Barrada now looks to create his own goal scoring opportunity with a long-range drive, but he shoots straight at Khune who makes a comfortable save.

    Morocco look to have won themselves a penalty just second after the restart as Tsepo Masilela appears to bring down Abdelaziz Barrada inside the area, but the referee doesn't even budge as he allows play to go on.

    The referee brings the first 45 minutes to a close, with Morocco leading South Africa 1-0. The game has become much more open following an all-Moroccan attack in the opening stages, so hopefully we can expect more in the final third in the second period. Join me after the break to find out.

    Brilliant goalkeeping from Itumeleng Khune, who comes a whole 40 yards off his line to intercept the ball just ahead of Youssef El-Arabi, who had been played clean-through on goal. Meanwhile, there will be two minutes of time added on here at the end of the half.

    We're around two minutes away from half-time now and although Bafana are seeing most of the ball, it's in their own half and the Moroccans will be more than happy for them to keep it there.

    Katlego Mphela goes for a spectacular bicycle kick inside the area, but he doesn't make a connection on the ball and the chance goes begging.

    Big news in the day's other Group A clash as Angola take the lead against Cape Verde. That means South Africa can afford to lose this game if the Antelopes keep their lead, although another two goals in that one will see Angola overtake South Africa on goal difference...

    El-Arabi and Chafni link up really well in the Bafana area now, but Bernard Parker, helping out in defence, is able to put the ball behind.

    The delivery is not the greatest and the ball is eventually cleared, sending Bafana on a flowing counter attack, but Tokelo Rantie takes far too many touches instead of passing and can only win his side a corner, which is all too easily dealt with by the Moroccans.

    El-Arabi shows a great turn in the box but Sangweni is equally as quick but eventually concedes a corner...

    Thuso Phala breaks down the middle of the pitch with real purpose and gets clipped as he enters the area, but he stays on his feet and the referee awards play-on, but when he can't keep the ball in play the South African turns questioning the official, but he had done well to allow play to continue and it was only Phala's poor touch that sent the ball behind.

    The number of fouls are starting to tot up now, but the referee's doing his best to keep this game flowing and does well not to go to his whistle too often as a lot of the tackles are pretty innocuous.

    Parker looking a lot more lively now and again has sight of goal, but this time he drags his effort wide from a tight angle.

    Bafana are seeing more of the ball in the opposition half as this game progresses, and Bernard Parker tries to unleash a rasping volley from the edge of the area, but his shot is quickly closed down.

    Bafana have a free-kick some 30 yards out from the Morocco goal, but it is one of the worst takes of a set-piece I have ever seen as Furman can't control the short pass and relinquishes possession to allow the opposition to counter, although Khumalo is there to ensure the move doesn't make it past the half-way line.

    The Lions almost make the most of the second attempt but Issam El Adoua can only head wide of the post.

    The delivery causes all sorts of chaos in the Bafana area, with Chahir Belhazouani somehow able to turn a shot in at goal, which Khune fumbles behind for another corner.

    Morocco attack again through Youssef El-Arabi, but his shot is well closed down, although they win themselves a corner...

    South Africa looking to get some more touches on the ball, maybe hoping to settle the nerves after having gone behind so early.

    Definitely not the start Bafana coach Gordon Igesund would have wanted, and an aimless ball into the area leaves the coach gobsmacked down in the technical area.

    Moments later and South Africa think they have a penalty after Bernard Parker appears to be tripped in the area, but the way he went down suggests to the ref that no contact was made, although he doesn't produce a yellow card for diving, so question marks over that decision...

    It doesn't take long to get the first goal here and Morocco are in front! It looks like a corner that Khune should easily deal with, but he comes out too late and allows Issam El Adoua to get their first, heading down into the ground and in off the underside of the crossbar.

    Tokelo Rantie breaks into the area thanks to Mahlangu's slide-pass ball, but the Bafana striker goes to ground under not too much contact and the referee unsurprisingly waves play on.

    South Africa work their first real attack of the game down the left wing, but some staunch defending prevents May Mahlangu from getting his delivery into the area.

    Quality save from Itumelange Khune now as the Bafana goalkeeper comes off his line in a flash to close down the run of Youssef El-Arabi to just get a vital glove on the striker's attempted chip from the edge of the area.

    Morocco get in the first shot of the game as a corner is only half cleared to Youseff Kaddioui, but his long-range drive flashes wide of the mark.

Victory for Bafana would see them go through as group winners, while a draw would see them stay top unless Cape Verde win and finish with superior goal difference when they take on Angola in the simultaneous kick-off. The hosts could still qualify as runners-up with a loss if Angola wins or draws against Cape Verde draw, but will be out if the Blue Sharks win.
