Sabri Lamouchi: Has challenged his side to perfrom much better

Ivory Coast coach Sabri Lamouchi is hoping for a vintage display from the Elephants when they tackle Tunisia in their second Africa Cup of Nations Group D clash in Rustenburg on Saturday.

The pre-tournament favourites laboured to a 2-1 win over Togo at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium with a late goal from Arsenal forward Gervinho.

Lamouchi, though, has confidence his men can deliver the required performance against Tunisia, who opened up their campaign with a stoppage-time 1-0 win over Algeria.

"If we put up the same performance, the Tunisians will do their best not to make the same errors as Togo," Lamouchi said.

"I envisage a difficult game and, above all, a different display from the Elephants.

"I didn't recognise my players, and they didn't recognise themselves (against Togo).

"That wasn't what I see every day in training, but I am convinced things will return to normal."

Lamouchi, though, is not taking victory for granted.

He added: "They defended stoutly and were efficient in attack (against Algeria). They are a team sure of their play, with a strong defence.

"We are warned, we are facing one of the best teams at this Nations Cup."

Tunisia coach Sami Trabelsi, meanwhile, intends to make the most of any opportunities should the likes of Didier Drogba and Yaya Toure have another off day.

He said: "They are a side with lots of qualities, but they have also shown quite a few faults, and they showed that in their first game.

"They are not unbeatable, but all the same as a rival you have to be wary of them. These individuals can, at any moment, turn a match."

Tunisia must do without striker Issam Jemaa for the remainder of the tournament after the Kuwait Sporting Club forward suffered a knee injury against Algeria.
