  1. 90

It all comes to an end in Port Elizabeth. Niger 0-0 DR Congo. Niger will have the happier set of fans, as they earn their first ever point in the Africa Cup of Nations.

  2. 90+4

Niger rush forward in numbers, Talatou gets his shot on target, but Kidiaba rises to the occasion to make a double save to keep the scores level. That should be the last action of the match.

  3. 90

The fourth official has indicated five minutes of added time.

  4. 89

Second substitution for Niger, Alhassane Dante comes on for Modibo Sidibe.

  5. 87

Mbokani goes into the referees book for dissent.

  6. 84

Promising counter-attack for the Nigeriens, but it just falls apart when a good final ball is needed.

  7. 82

N'Gounou's first action on the pitch is to get a caution for tugging on Makiadi's jersey.

  8. 79

William N'Gounou comes on for the injured Koudize.

  9. 76

Koudize down on the ground. The medical team has come onto the pitch for treatment and to stretcher him off the field. Looks like he'll return soon enough.

  10. 71

DRC make their third and final substitution. Zola Matumona comes on for Tresor Mputu.

  11. 66

Possession: Niger 51% - 49% DR Congo. Both teams cancelling each other out at the moment, the defences pretty much equal to everything thrown at them.

  12. 60

Maazou with a great header on goal, but again fails to really test Kidiaba.

  13. 56

Change for the DRC, as Dioko Kaluyituka comes on for Kabangu.

  14. 55

Corner comes to nothing as the DRC clear their lines. Niger get another shot on goal, but it's straight at the keeper.

  15. 54

Maazou with a powerful shot from the edge of the area, but Kidiaba does well to punch the ball out for a corner.

  16. 49

Mulota Kabangu has been lively down the flanks for the DRC, definitely one to watch for the remainder of their stay in the tournament.

  17. 46

Lomana LuaLua makes way for Deo Kanda.

  18. 46

Ossoufou Boubacar taken off for Boubacar Talatou.

  19. 45+2

Referee brings an end to the half. Not too much for the fans in PE to get excited about. Both sides attacking well, but failing to find the final touch.

  20. 45

Fourth official indicates two minutes added time.

  21. 43

Great work from the DRC attack, Mbokani through on goal in the box, but his shot is straight at the goalkeeper. Mulumbu could have gathered the deflection, but was caught flat-footed in the penalty area.

  22. 41

Maazou goes in the book for a two footed tackle on Makiadi in the middle of the park.

  23. 34

LuaLua with another shot on goal, defender does well to block it, but Mulumbu fails to put his shot on target from the deflection. Neither side really in the ascendancy, both are getting forward enough, but fail to make their chances pay.

  24. 28

Maazou seems to be the biggest threat for the Nigeriens thus far, but that final touch is still eluding the West Africans.

  25. 23

LuaLua the main threat for the DRC down the right-hand side, at the moment he's too much for the Niger defence to handle.

  26. 18

Niger edging the possession at this stage, not quite getting the right touch in the final third, but the DRC look dangerous on the counter, so are probably happy to sit back.

  27. 13

Mbokani again free in the box, does brilliantly to control the ball and fire his shot away, but Kassaly Daouda is equal to it.

  28. 10

Mbokani through on goal, but the attack peters out as he dwells on the ball.

  29. 9

Pretty even so far, Niger look well up for the match and are applying the early pressure. DRC still creating their fair share of chances however.

  30. 4

Great chance for Niger to score their second ever AFCON goal, but after breaking free from the Congo defence Sidibe only manages find the far post with his shot.

  31. 3

Early shot from LuaLua on the far side of the box, but he puts it high and wide.

  32. 1

Referee blows his whistle to get the match underway...

  33. If Niger manage to pull of a win tonight, they will move level with Mali in second place with 3 points each.

  34. If the Leopards win tonight they will move level on points with Ghana at the top of the Group B standings with 4 points apiece.

  35. The DRC squad is almost entirely comprised of European based players. None of them are particularly high-profile with the most recognisable names being West Brom midfielder Youssouf Mulumbu, one-time Newcastle striker Lomana LuaLua who is now playing in Turkey and Anderlecht striker Dieumerci Mbokani.

  36. Between 1968 and 1974, when DR Congo was still known as Zaire, the country's football went through a golden period that amongst other things saw it win the AFCON twice, record its largest ever win (10-1 over Zambia) and become the first ever sub-Saharan nation to qualify for the World Cup.

  37. 2013 will be the second time Niger have qualified for the AFCON. They made their debut appearance at the tournament in 2012 but failed to make it past the first round.

  38. The last time Niger won a match outside of Niger was the year 2013 AFCON hosts Bafana Bafana started playing - 1992.

  39. Some interesting facts for you ahead of the match...

  40. DRC XI: Kidiaba, Issama, Mabiala, Mongongu, Kasusula, Makiadi, Mulumbu, Kabangu, Mputu, Mbokani, Lua Lua
