Image: Michael Laudrup: Set to give youngsters a chance against Crawley

Crawley Town will have high hopes of springing an upset against Swansea City in the Capital One Cup on Tuesday night.

Davis could return for hosts; Laudrup to make changes

Crawley Town will have high hopes of springing an upset against Swansea City in the Capital One Cup on Tuesday night. Swansea have started to stutter over the past couple of weeks and were beaten 3-0 by Everton on Saturday, while Crawley also suffered a heavy defeat against Tranmere at the weekend but remain eighth in League One. Claude Davis could return to the Crawley starting line-up after missing the last four matches with a hip injury. Boss Richie Barker will be considering throwing Davis back in after watching his side crash 5-2 at home to the League One leaders. Winger Sergio Torres is also available having missed five games with a leg injury, so midfielder Shaun Cooper is the only casualty due to a groin problem. On-loan strikers Jonathan Forte and Nicky Ajose are eligible to play in the competition and could both start up front if Barker opts to rest skipper Gary Alexander.

Swansea news

Michael Laudrup could hand some of Swansea's youngsters a chance to impress. The likes of Ashley Williams, Leon Britton, Jonathan de Guzman and Danny Graham were all struggling with various ailments before the weekend loss to Everton and are likely to be rested. Chico Flores serves the last game of a three-match suspension while Nathan Dyer misses out after his red card against the Toffees. Record signing Pablo Hernandez is a doubt with a knee injury while Itay Shechter will not feature as he observes the Jewish holy day of Yom Kippur.
