Reds to rest stars, Di Natale to lead line for Udinese

Liverpool welcome Udinese to Anfield on Thursday night hoping to make it two wins out of two in the Europa League. Reds boss Brendan Rodgers named a youthful side in the win over Young Boys in their Group A opener and Rodgers is again likely to rest some of his top stars for Premier League action. The likes of Jose Reina, Martin Skrtel, Joe Allen, Steven Gerrard and Luis Suarez are set to be given the night off against the Italian side. Brad Jones will replace Reina in goal, while Jamie Carragher will captain the side in the absence of Gerrard. Rodgers is able to call upon Jonjo Shelvey as he is available to play despite serving a domestic ban for his sending-off against Manchester United recently. Joe Cole is also back in the squad after recovering from a hamstring injury he picked up on the opening day of the season against West Brom. Long-term absentees Martin Kelly and Lucas Leiva remain sidelined for Liverpool, while Jose Enrique is still working his way back to fitness after a knee problem. Udinese were held to a 1-1 draw by Anzhi in their opening game and they will be hoping to boost their chances of progressing from the group with a positive result at Anfield. Former Liverpool goalkeeper Daniele Padelli, who made one appearance for the Reds, will face his old club as he starts in goal for Udinese. Antonio Di Natale will be Udinese's danger man after scoring in the first game against Anzhi.
