1. Full Time. That's it. City battled hard after the break but it finishes 1-1 and they are eliminated from the Champions League with a game to go. Real Madrid go through with Borussia Dortmund.

    The crowd are getting involved now. Good chance to overload on the right but Dzeko and Silva both misplace passes. The Silva wriggles free and the ball finds Aguero who can run through on goal. But the forward's touch is poor and Casillas can force the ball away.

    Chance! Khedira gets away from two and is through one-on-one with Hart. For some reason the midfielder delays and Hart is off his line to smother. Should have scored but instead City break through Aguero and his cross is put behind for a corner that Casillas claims. Cracking game.

He has another chance and shimmies past Hart only to see the keeper get enough on the shot to deflect it wide of the post for a corner. That comes to nothing and City recover. They are being completely outplayed at the moment.

    Ronaldo is enjoying himself now. Skins Kompany not once but twice. He then crosses for Khedira at the near post but the Germany international gets too much on the header.

    Ronaldo has Maicon and Zabaleta for company but he still gets a cross in. Khedira opens up his body as the ball comes across but his side-footed effort skews wide.

70. Horrible defending from Maicon. Di Maria curls the cross in from the right and Benzema has pulled onto Maicon at the far edge of the area. He drifts in completely unmarked and slots the ball past Hart from close range.

86. Jack: 'I think this is going to be a difficult game for Madrid but I still see them winning the game with Ronaldo getting two goals and Kolarov getting a lone goal so my prediction is 1-2 to Madrid but it's going to be a difficult game for them.'

90. But they'll need to remain vigilant late on as 60% of Real Madrid's goals have been netted in the final 15 minutes of games (including all three in their opening match against City); a competition high proportion.

91. City will fancy their chances of scoring tonight. Real Madrid have kept just one clean sheet in their last 10 Champions League games.

92. As for that man Ronaldo. He has scored 15 goals in his last 13 Champions League appearances and has netted in four of his last six appearances against Manchester City.
