Torino and Catania ended their Serie A campaigns with an entertaining 2-2 draw at the Stadio Olimpico. Sergio Almiron gave the visitors the lead in the first half but Alessio Cerci levelled things up after the break. Gonzalo Bergessio put the visitors back ahead but Rolando Bianchi netted seven minutes from time to snatch a share of the points. Cerci should have given the home side the lead after just seven minutes as he beat the offside trap but he blazed over the bar from inside the penalty area. Cerci had another chance saved by Alberto Frison before Almiron opened the scoring after 25 minutes. Lucas Castro found the Argentinean unmarked in the box and he coolly slotted home from close range. Giuseppe Vives looked for the equaliser with a long-range effort but he could not keep his shot down and Almiron soon tried the same trick down the other end. Neither side was managing to carve out good chances and Vives again saw a speculative effort fly over the bar just before the interval. Almiron fired a shot over the bar just after the break but Torino were level in the 53rd minute. Matteo Brighi's long ball found Cerci who cut in from the and fired home across Frison. The sides were level for just nine minutes as Bergessio gathered a loose ball on the edge of the box and beat Ferdinando Coppola from distance. Angelo Ogbonna headed just wide as Torino chased a second equaliser and Cerci fired a free-kick just over the bar. They went even closer when Bianchi hit the post with a long-range effort but the substitute was not to be denied. Cerci got to the byline and pulled the ball back for the striker to score at the near post.
