Sevilla travel to Athletic Bilbao looking for their first win since September 24 in the Primera Division.

Sevilla travel to Athletic Bilbao on Sunday looking for their first win since September 24 in the Primera Division. Michel Gonzalez's side have taken just two points from an available 15 since winning at Deportivo La Coruna in late September. Entering the weekend, the Rojiblancos are seventh in the table and they may well have been overtaken by the time Sunday's game starts. Their victory at Deportivo is the only one on their travels so far this season, along with two draws and two defeats, and they need to arrest their slide if they are not to fall by the wayside in the race for European football. Their hosts are enduring an even worse time this season and are hovering close to the relegation zone after a fine campaign which saw them finish as runners-up in the Europa League last season. However, they earned a much-needed win at Granada last time out and Gonzalez knows his side must be on their guard. He told reporters: "They are a more unpredictable team and there is no way to know how much damage they can do because they have many threats." Surprised by their form this season, Gonzalez continued: "There is an expectation according to what they did last season but every game is different and we must not focus on their classification but what we want to do." Sevilla have been poor in front of goal of late with just one goal in four games and half of them by Alvaro Negredo, something acknowledged by the coach who pointed to their improving defence. He added: "The next game is the Bilbao and is the game we want to win, it would be a good starting point for achieving the continuity and regularity that we want."
