  1. Liverpool 0 Arsenal 2. The Gunners open their goal account, with two summer signings helping them to three points. Plenty of questions for Rodgers to answer after another disappointing display from the Reds.

  2. 90+4

Sanots working hard and not allowing Liverpool to walk the ball out of their own half. Sterling thinks he has won a late corner off Jenkinson, but the decision goes Arsenal's way.

  3. 90+3

Gerrard wins a corner of Jenkinson following a positive drive into the box. The set-piece is played short. Allen eventually hangs the ball up high and Mannone punches thin air. He gets away with it as Arsenal win a free-kick.

  4. 90+2

Shelvey into the book. Ramsey does really well to run the ball clear for Arsenal and is shoved to the deck by Shelvey on halfway. Frustration boiling over for the hosts.

  5. 90+1

Vermaelen hobbles off to be replaced by Koscielny. Gerrard's corner causes Arsenal problems, but Johnson can't force the ball over the line at the back post.

  6. Four minutes of stoppage-time to be played.

  7. 90

Keep-ball from Arsenal. Liverpool chasing shadows. When they do get it back, they can do nothing with it. Enrique has a go, picking out Shelvey. He has a go from 25 yards and Mannone has to turn the ball around the post.

  8. 89

It's not going to happen for Suarez today. As close as he has come as he fires over the top. Vermaelen again does enough to put the Liverpool striker off and force him to fire off target.

  9. 88

Alan Smith has handed the man of the match award to Abou Diaby. Have to say the Frenchman has been immense this afternoon. Having him back fit is a massive boost to Arsenal.

  10. 87

Neat feet from Shelvey on the edge of the box opens up a yard of space. His low shot can only be parried by Mannone and he is grateful to Vermaelen for pouncing on the rebound ahead of Suarez and Gerrard.

  11. 86

Space for Johnson on the right. He sends a cross low to the front post, where Vermaelen is able to lump clear. Liverpool try their luck from the left, but Sterling is stopped by Jenkinson.

  12. 85

Reina able to deal with a tricky bouncing back-pass, as he picks out Allen. He turns and scampers off upfield, but Arsenal have plenty of men back and have all bases covered.

  13. 84

Liverpool appear to have run out of ideas. Arsenal once again have them pegged down by their own corner flag. The Gunners haven't had to be brilliant to take the points this afternoon.

  14. 83

Giroud involved in a tussle with Enrique. He looks to be in at one stage, but a lack of pace means he is unable to escape the attentions of the Liverpool defender. Giroud settles for a corner. He meets Cazorla's corner unmarked, but sends the ball over the crossbar off his shoulder. Not his day.

  15. 82

Defensive change by Arsenal as Podolski makes way for Santos. His first task is to defend a corner. Gerrard's delivery is seen out by the Brazilian.

  16. 81

Nice feet from Allen in the middle of the park, before sending the ball wide to Downing. He allows Shelvey to fire over a cross, but Mertesacker is there for Arsenal. No way through for Liverpool. Downing is able to win a corner as a decent effort from the edge of the box is deflected narrowly over the top.

  17. 80

Enrique pulled up for a foul and finds himself out of position as Ramsey runs away with the ball. He has little support, though, and the home side soon have it back.

  18. 79

Cazorla picks out Mertesacker at the near post. He glances the ball up in the air. Reina comes through the crowd to claim. He then spills the ball, but is awarded a free-kick.

  19. 78

Liverpool can't get the ball at the moment. Arsenal don't need to press so are happy to play among themselves on halfway. When they do go forward, Gibbs wins a corner off Skrtel.

  20. 77

Podolski holds off two challenges and keeps Arsenal inside the Liverpool half. Away fans bring out the Oles, but then see Gibbs put a pass straight out of play.
