Mohamed: Could start for Robins

Mohamed: Could start for Robins

Team news ahead of Friday night's League Two clash between Cheltenham Town and Morecambe at Whaddon Road.

Cheltenham boss Mark Yates has a full squad to choose from, but has hinted he may shake things up as he looks to discover his strongest starting XI.

The Robins, who narrowly missed out on promotion to League One last term after losing in the play-off final to Crewe, have enjoyed an indifferent start to the season and find themselves 11th in the table.

Yates' side are unbeaten away from home but have only won three of their eight league games and the boss is looking for more from his squad.

"We are doing OK but if we step it up then we will get to where we want to be," he told the club's official website.

"No-one is out of my plans because nobody has grabbed their opportunity and that is what I'm looking for over the next few games."

Cheltenham's only change last time out saw Russell Penn replace Sam Deering while the likes of Kaid Mohamed and Darryl Duffy will hope for starts.

Morecambe striker Jack Redshaw may see his hot spell of form disrupted by injury.

The 21-year-old has scored in his last two games but is doubtful after suffering a dead leg in the 3-2 defeat to Plymouth Argyle.

Manager Jim Bentley saw his side surrendered a two-goal lead in that game but despite his desire to record a first win in five, he will not take any risks with Redshaw's fitness.

Defender Chris McReady has returned to full training following an illness and is fit to resume first-team duties.

Andy Fleming was until recently still suffering the effects of a heavy challenge in the 3-1 defeat at Bradford but the midfielder is likely to feature in the squad.

Forward Danny Carlton has not played since September 1 and a troublesome knee injury continues to sideline him.
