Dunfermline's bad week ended with a deserved point after Steven Husband's late penalty earned a 2-2 draw at Livingston.

The visitors headed to Almondvale Stadium after a few days that saw the club go into interim administration and consequently wave goodbye to several players forced into redundancy, as well as assistant boss Gerry McCabe.

And it was huge credit to their players that they still managed to fight back having seen their third-placed hosts take the lead with two second half goals.

Pars boss Jim Jefferies urged his players to develop a siege mentality to remain in the First Division and they didn't let him down with an early strike on 22 minutes.

It was Ryan Thomson who edged the cash-strapped team in front and survived the onslaught from Livingston until nine minutes after the break.

Anthony Andreu got the equaliser and understandably heads went down with the Pars conceding swiftly again thanks to the efforts of Mark McNulty (68).

But Dunfermline produced a valiant late effort and got their reward with a penalty in the final minute as Husband coolly slotted in to secure a valuable point and provide some brightness after a miserable few days.
