Steven Gillespie: Injury doubt

Team news for Saturday's League Two clash between Fleetwood Town and Exeter City at Highbury Stadium.

Graham Alexander has no new injury worries as his Fleetwood side look to get their season back on track.

The Cod Army have taken a solitary point from their last four matches and lie seven points shy of the play-off places and the sixth-placed Grecians.

Steven Gillespie (hamstring) is a doubt but top scorer Jon Parkin returned to the starting line-up for last weekend's last-gasp defeat to Wycombe following a similar complaint, as did winger Gareth Evans (ankle).

Jamie McGuire serves the final game of his three-match ban, while fellow midfielder Jamie Allen remains sidelined with an ankle problem.

Defender Youl Mawene is working his way back to fitness from a broken foot, while forward Andy Mangan has resumed light training after knee surgery.

Exeter boss Paul Tisdale is expected to shuffle his pack as the Grecians prepare for their second away game in four days.

City, beaten 2-0 at Bristol Rovers on Wednesday night, now face the 560-mile round trip to Fleetwood and Tisdale revealed he will be unable to work on putting things right at the training ground.

"It is not easy," he said. "We won't spend any time at the Cat & Fiddle between now and Saturday afternoon.

"It means we have to talk the game and recover for a long trip. We are used to those trips of course, so there can be no excuses given there.

"It is my first time there, (at Highbury) I believe they are a very good footballing side on their own patch and we'll have to be ready for that."

And Exeter's long-serving manager has plenty of options if he decides to ring the changes.

Jimmy Keohane replaced Tommy Doherty (back) at the Memorial Stadium at half-time and the Irishman could get the nod.

Keohane was joined for the second half by Jake Gosling and the young winger is also pushing for a start.

Fellow midfielder Mark Molesley serves the final game of his three-match ban for a red card at Port Vale.
