Curtis Osano: Ready for return

Team news for Saturday's League Two clash between AFC Wimbledon and York City at the Fans' Stadium, Kingsmeadow.

Curtis Osano could return to the AFC Wimbledon squad.

The defender has been out for two months with a calf injury but proved his fitness in a reserve game in midweek.

With Jonathan Meades (ankle) and Jim Fenlon (back) also sidelined Mat Mitchel-King has been deputising at right-back, but Osano's return would see him switch to his preferred centre-half role.

Striker Charlie Strutton also played for the reserves after recovering from a knee injury.

But defender Will Antwi is still struggling with a hip problem and midfielder Peter Sweeney has a toe injury.

On-loan Brighton forward Brennan Dickenson is pushing for a start after coming off the bench to hit the Dons' goal in their 2-1 defeat by Cheltenham last Saturday.

York trio Tom Platt, Jamie Reed and Ben Everson could all return to the squad in new manager Nigel Worthington's first game in charge.

Worthington, installed as predecessor Gary Mills' replacement on Monday, has recalled strikers Reed and Everson and midfielder Platt from their respective loan spells, with all players at Bootham Crescent handed a clean slate.

Chris Doig (ankle) returned to the substitutes' bench last week and fellow centre-half David McGurk (hamstring) is also hoping to be in contention, but defender Jamal Fyfield is still struggling with an ankle injury.

Striker Michael Coulson, sidelined since October with knee ligament damage, is back in training and making good progress in his bid to return to first-team action for the first time since October.

The Minstermen, four points off the relegation zone, are chasing their first win in 12 league matches.
