Lanre Oyebanjo: On the treatment table

Team news for Saturday's League Two clash between York and Morecambe at Bootham Crescent.

York's new signings David McDaid and Curtis Obeng are both expected to be included in the squad for the home game with the Shrimps.

Striker McDaid signed from Derry and defender Obeng arrived on loan from Swansea this week and are hoping to feature.

But the Minstermen will be without defender Lanre Oyebanjo, who fractured his skull during a clash of heads in last week's draw at Gillingham. He will be out for at least six weeks.

Teenage Blackburn loanee Jack O'Connell is likely to continue in the back four after making his debut last week, with fellow recent recruit Ben Everson on the substitutes' bench again.

Chris Doig is still out with an ankle injury but fellow centre-back David McGurk has declared himself fit following a hamstring problem.

Striker Michael Coulson, sidelined since October with cruciate knee ligament damage, is hoping to return to action in March, while Ashley Chambers (stomach/groin) remains a long-term absentee.

Morecambe boss Jim Bentley is hoping to welcome back Andy Fleming.

Fleming missed last weekend's dramatic 2-1 comeback victory at Dagenham after picking up an ankle injury in the goalless draw with Cheltenham at the Globe Arena.

Fellow midfielder Ryan Williams is pushing for a start after scoring twice in three substitute appearances, including the winner against the Daggers last time out.

Left-back Robbie Threlfall is Bentley's only injury concern due to a reoccurrence of the thigh injury that has seen him miss several games this season.

"We're under no illusions, it's going to be a very tough game," Shrimps goalkeeper Barry Roche said.

"They're a tough outfit to beat.

"But with the way we're playing and the confidence we've generated over the past month, we don't fear anybody. We'll respect every team but we certainly won't fear them."
