Haining: Faces late fitness test

Haining: Faces late fitness test

Team news ahead of Saturday's League Two clash between Morecambe and Barnet at the Globe Arena.

Defender Will Haining is an injury doubt for the Shrimps.

Haining limped out of the midweek derby draw with Accrington and faces a late fitness test.

Barry Roche shook off a leg injury sustained in last weekend's FA Cup draw against Rochdale to face Stanley and suffered no adverse reaction.

Richard Brodie returned from suspension as a substitute on Tuesday night but his late missed penalty means Jim Bentley's side are now without a win in four matches across all competitions.

Jordan Mustoe is set to play the last game of his loan spell from Wigan. The 21-year-old full-back has made six appearances during a one-month stint, scoring on his debut against Preston in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy.

Barnet's injury problems are clearing up ahead of the weekend tie.

Collins John, Jordan Brown, John Oster and Jon Nurse could all be available at the Globe Arena.

Striker John (thigh) and left-back Brown (groin) missed Tuesday night's 1-0 win over Torquay but joint-bosses Mark Robson and Edgar Davids are hopeful they will be fit.

Midfielder Oster is also on the mend after missing two games with a calf injury and forward Nurse played for the reserves in midweek to prove his fitness after hip and groin problems.

But Ricky Holmes is set to miss out again with an ankle injury while fellow striker Steve Kabba (knee) and back-up goalkeeper Liam O'Brien (pelvis) are still sidelined.
