Cavanagh: Remains an injury doubt

Cavanagh: Remains an injury doubt

Team news ahead of Tuesday's League Two clash between Rotherham and Rochdale at New York Stadium.

Rotherham could welcome back Kari Arnason for their home game with Rochdale.

The midfielder, who suffered a twisted ankle while on international duty with Iceland last week, missed Saturday's 1-0 win over Torquay but is expected to go straight back into the starting XI.

Defender Mark Bradley could also return to the frame after overcoming a hamstring injury faster than first thought, though he is unlikely to start.

Midfielder David Noble will play no part as he is away from the club sorting out personal issues, while left-back Laurie Wilson has a knee problem and is unlikely to feature.

Alex Revell should keep his place in attack alongside Kayode Odejayi after his goalscoring exploits at the weekend, where he bagged his first goal of the season.

Manager Steve Evans will watch the game via live streaming as he continues his six-match stadium ban, with the Millers aiming to extend their 100 per cent League Two record at New York Stadium.

Rochdale captain Peter Cavanagh is once again an injury doubt.

Cavanagh returned from a calf injury to start against Burton nine days ago, but a recurrence of the problem ruled him out of the weekend win at AFC Wimbledon.

Rhys Bennett came into the Dale midfield and is expected to continue in his absence.

The win over the Dons was a first triumph on the road for John Coleman since he took the reins in January, with summer signings Dele Adebola and Bobby Grant on target during a strong first-half display.

Long-term absentees Luke Watson (knee) and Reece Gray (broken leg) remain on the sidelines along with goalkeeper Matt Edwards, who has a wrist injury
