Grant: Scored Dale's second goal

Dele Adebola and Bobby Grant struck in the first half to help Rochdale see off 10-man AFC Wimbledon 2-1 in a heated League Two clash.

Dale looked to be cantering to victory after Adebola's early header and Grant's tidy finish put them two goals up at the break against their struggling hosts, who lost Jack Midson to a red card after 24 minutes.

Luke Moore pulled one back for the Dons late on but it was not enough to complete his side's fight back, who are now six games without a win in all competitions.

Former Hull striker Adebola nodded in Grant's cross after 10 minutes and the home side's day got worse when Midson was dismissed for violent conduct.

Grant scored his side's second of the day as the forward coolly placed in his effort from the edge of the area six minutes before the break.

Substitute Ray Putterill came close for the away side just after the break and with less than 10 minutes to go Moore pulled one back for the Dons but it was too little too late.
