Barkhuizen: In Fleetwood's squad

Barkhuizen: In Fleetwood's squad

Team news for Saturday's League Two clash between Fleetwood and Aldershot at Highbury Stadium.

Loan duo Tom Barkhuizen and Ash Eastham go straight into Fleetwood's squad.

The pair joined from neighbours Blackpool on Wednesday and could be handed instant debuts for The Cod Army.

Striker Barkhuizen has joined the club until January while defender Eastham has agreed a one-month loan.

Winger Ryan Crowther is unavailable having joined non-league Hyde on loan earlier this week. Fellow midfielder Alex Marrow is still awaiting his full debut after joining on loan from Crystal Palace.

Manager Micky Mellon has no fresh injury or suspension worries ahead of the match.

Fleetwood are now targeting back-to-back league wins for the first time after picking up their first win of the season at Burton last weekend.

Aldershot are set to receive a triple boost ahead of their first meeting with Fleetwood.

Striker Craig Reid, defender Guy Branston (both calf) and midfielder Alex Rodman (ankle) all returned to training this week and are set to be in contention for the trip north.

Defender Olly Lancashire and midfielder Peter Vincenti both shrugged off injury to be included in Dean Holdsworth's matchday 18 for last Saturday's 1-0 home defeat to Cheltenham.

It means the Shots boss takes a strong squad into the clash, despite striker Danny Hylton serving the fifth game of his eight-match suspension for racial abuse.

Long-term absentees Craig Stanley (broken leg) and Ross Worner (back) remain sidelined as the Shots aim for their first points since victory at Plymouth in their opening league game.
