Hanson: Scored Bradford's fifth

AFC Wimbledon's defensive problems continued at Bradford as they suffered a 5-1 defeat four days after losing 6-2 at Burton.

All the goals came in an eventful first half as the Bantams recorded a second home win in a row. The hosts went in front after three minutes when Nahki Wells chased a long ball out of defence, managing to reach it just before advancing goalkeeper Seb Brown could gather, and coolly controlling before slotting into the net.

Bradford increased their lead after 12 minutes when striker James Hanson crossed from the left and Dons left-back Curtis Haynes-Brown sliced the ball into his own net as he tried to clear.

The third goal after 30 minutes was a bizarre affair. Defender Andrew Davies' 40-yard free-kick into the crowded goalmouth floated into the net with neither Brown nor any of his defenders able to clear.

Wimbledon pulled a goal back five minutes later when Byron Harrison headed Louis Harris's free-kick into the net, but Bradford scored two more before the interval. Rory McArdle turned the ball in after 37 minutes after Hanson had headed Jones' corner into his path and Hanson headed a fifth from Wells' cross on the stroke of half-time.

To compound their misery, the Dons had Haynes-Brown carried off on a stretcher after an accidental clash with Bradford winger Zavon Hines, with the game being held up for seven minutes while the injured player received treatment.
