Alan Gow's double halted Accrington's winning start to the season in a 3-0 victory for Exeter at the Crown Ground.

Substitute Guillem Bauza, who earlier saw a penalty saved by Stanley goalkeeper Ian Dunbavin, was also on the scoresheet for the Grecians in injury time.

Gow fired low from the edge of the penalty area into the bottom left-hand corner of the goal in the 14th minute after Stanley failed to clear their lines. And, after 54 minutes, Gow tricked his way through on the left, got past the home defence and scored from a tight angle to seal a second successive win for Exeter.

Both were superb solo goals from the Scot and were the first goals Accrington had conceded this season in the league.

Stanley had chances at 1-0 as Luke Joyce had a 15-yard effort cleared off the line by defender Danny Coles with keeper Artur Krysiak stranded. And, just before the second goal, Padraig Amond had the ball in the net for the hosts but it was ruled out for offside.

Exeter could have made it 3-0 after 72 minutes when Stanley substitute Aidan Chippendale brought down Scott Bennett in the area but Bauza's penalty was pushed out for a corner by Dunbavin. They did add a third in injury time when John O'Flynn headed down for Bauza to finish from close range.
