Wilson: Set to play for hosts

Team news for Saturday's League Two clash between Rotherham and Burton Albion at the New York Stadium.

Rotherham will make history when they play their first competitive fixture at the New York Stadium on Saturday.

The Millers are returning home after a four-year stay in Sheffield, taking up residence in a brand new 12,000-seater arena in the heart of the town, and after an impressive pre-season Steve Evans' side are favourites to win promotion.

Evans is boosted by the return to fitness of full-back Lawrie Wilson and winger Gareth Evans, who both went off injured in last Saturday's Capital One Cup defeat at Hull.

Wilson sustained an ankle injury and Evans picked up a knock to his leg but both trained on Thursday and should be available.

Midfielder Kari Arnason played 90 minutes for Iceland on Wednesday and he does not arrive back at the club until Friday morning so he will be assessed but should feature in Evans' side.

Defenders Nicky Hunt (hamstring) and Dale Tonge (Achilles) continue to miss out so Mark Bradley and Johnny Mullins will battle it out for the right-back spot.

Meanwhile, Burton begin their League Two campaign without summer signing Marcus Holness.

Holness must serve a two-match suspension following his red card during extra-time in the Capital One Cup victory over Sheffield United last Saturday.

The defender, signed on a free transfer from Rochdale, was shown two yellow cards in little over a minute for his protest at the award of the penalty that saw the Blades draw level at 2-2.

Holness' absence could open the door for either Aaron Webster or Andy Corbett to start.

Webster and Corbett, along with striker Justin Richards and midfielder Jack Dyer, were on the bench at Bramall Lane after injuries.

Manager Gary Rowett bolstered his squad this week with the additions of Matt Paterson and Anthony O'Connor and they could be added to the travelling party.
