Clayton Donaldson: Back for Bees

Clayton Donaldson: Back for Bees

Team news for Saturday's League One clash between Brentford and Doncaster at Griffin Park.

Brentford's top scorer Clayton Donaldson returns for the final game of the regular season.

The 22-goal striker missed last weekend's 1-1 draw at Hartlepool through suspension after he was sent off at Sheffield United.

But defender Tony Craig is still suspended following his red card in the same game.

Long-serving midfielder Kevin O'Connor, fit again after a long spell out with an ankle injury, is set to deputise at centre-half again.

Skipper Jonathan Douglas will play on despite carrying a knock in recent weeks while striker Farid El Alagui should be involved again after making his first appearance in six months against Hartlepool following a knee injury.

A win will secure promotion for Uwe Rosler's side - but draw or lose and they face the play-offs.

Doncaster have been boosted by the return to fitness of David Syers, Paul Quinn, Martin Woods and Paul Keegan.

Rovers boss Brian Flynn will go into the final game of the season with almost a full squad to choose from.

Midfielder Syers made his comeback from an ankle injury as a second-half substitute during the 1-0 home defeat to Notts County while right-back Quinn (leg) was an unused sub.

Midfielders Woods (calf) and Keegan (thigh) have trained this week and also come back into the reckoning.

Goalkeeper Gary Woods (back) also returned to the squad last weekend and he could replace veteran Neil Sullivan.

Andy Griffin is the only player unlikely to feature again this season, should Doncaster be forced to settle for the play-offs.

That will only happen if they are beaten by Brentford. If Rovers avoid defeat they will seal automatic promotion and an immediate return to the Championship. Victory would see Flynn's side clinch the title if leaders Bournemouth fail to win at Tranmere.
